lukasz Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 Well yeah if the dont do that than that is my only option. Though maybe a can get one of the of the bt technician.
lukasz Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 Thanks BEN. Will see if they are better than the virgin.
BENORMOUS Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Explain ur situation and tell him you don't wanna be interleaved and you are relying on the G.inp on your line,I don't think engineers carry them anymore because of the isps giving out the router modem combos but it's worth a try mate,he may have a type b hh5 but I doubt he will have a hg612
BENORMOUS Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I thought you all ways had the God like connection with Virgin anyway mate?
lukasz Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 Ybes worth a try. The good connection with virgin it comes and goes sometimes its good for a week and sometimes shit for the week. The whole thing was like a rollercoaster with virgin.
BENORMOUS Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I totally know how that feels mate mine is really inconsistent
CleanSlate Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Good Luck Lukasz i asked BT a while back they said they don't send out open reach modems anymore and told me to look on amazon or eBay i can't believe they gave me the Type A piss me off that did. well getting the hg612 soon should be here today or tomorrow i hope fingers crossed.
CleanSlate Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Buddy and you didnt get the type b from them? Nope got the Type A too
lukasz Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 Yebs but when the tech came to your place you didnt ask for the type b or when you called them?
CleanSlate Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Yebs but when the tech came to your place you didnt ask for the type b or when you called them? No cause i didn't know they had a Type B i thought it was just only a Type A.
lukasz Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 Cool I am really hoping that this dude will have it.
Zennon Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Tell him you need B as you have a Hauwei cab and you would like full G.inp support. A does not fully support G.inp.
BENORMOUS Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Are you with BT? No mate I'm with sky but it's all down to your line,my friend has sky only a few miles away and he says his is great so I could be in a really congested area, what works for one may be horrible for another,I think you will enjoy fttc more than Virgin anyway mate
Macca65 Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I find all these posts fascinating, as I have no idea what people are on about. Hawei cab G.inp Thought type A and B were blood groups Broadens my knowledge, but lessens my understanding lol
lukasz Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 The openreach guy is installing the line but he dosent have any type b HH with him.
