Monzo Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Recently my router has been having a lot of connection problems with other devices in the house. At one point the connection will be fine, and then all of a sudden all the devices in the house get disconnected. Usually to fix my problem i have to unplug the router for 10 seconds and plug it back in, but this should not be happening. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted March 28, 2016 Netduma Staff Posted March 28, 2016 Is it just wireless devices? Have you got 'Wifi workaround' disabled in Settings >> Miscellaneous? Are you on the latest version (1.03.6).
Monzo Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 ill check. I'm definitely on 1.03.6. and no its all of them. What does Wifi Workaround do?
ColonicBoom Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I'd like to know what this does too... I was streaming youtube on AppleTV and it locked up and all devices on wifi pooped out with it. I had to restart Netduma and some of the devices to get wifi back
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 29, 2016 Administrators Posted March 29, 2016 Wifi workaround was implemented as some devices were unable to use the wifi correctly (disconnects etc). Some people need it enabled, others need it disabled.
ColonicBoom Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Cheers, I had a full on car crash of wireless channels from my setup and my elderly default-wifi neighbours. Streamlined it with an epic cull and rebooting marathon and so far it's as smooth as Barry White riding a buttered eel... Mmm, smooooth.
ColonicBoom Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I'd just like to add that I didn't euthanise my neighbours but if they f my s up then I may reconsider
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 30, 2016 Administrators Posted March 30, 2016 Awesome to hear that! Haha thanks for the clarification
