Upgraded to monitor from TV - Review

For anyone on the fence of upgrading from a TV to an actual computer monitor for their console I would highly suggest doing so.

I recently upgraded from a 32" Sony LCD TV to the BenQ RL2755HM.

When playing on the TV it didn't have any human discernible input delay and did a pretty good job due to the TV having a "Game" mode that turned off all the special processing that can cause delays. With that said I decided to pull the trigger on a monitor after many people vouching for them and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a good player already but the monitor really did make a difference and after about 10-15 minutes of getting used to it made a clear difference in my game. If you're already an upper tier player every ms every tiny little bit makes an exponential difference. I'm at 2.0kd and over 500SPM playing solo in Blops3 and it boosted my game for sure.

For people that are in the market for items like a NetDuma router making sure you're not being held back by your hardware this type of upgrade should be right up your alley.

Cliffs: If you're not playing on a monitor get one.

The RL series from BenQ are good options the RL24 is the monitor they use during tournaments. If you're using this exclusively for your console definitely go RL because they're the 60hz monitors and it's a waste of money getting a monitor with a higher refresh for console.

I got a RL2460HT last year and a duma... best gaming investments I've made besides my Astros... I recommended my friend go from his 60 inch 4k tv to a 24 inch benq and he hasn't looked back since. Every kill he gets he yells out "BENQ BABY!"

Same here with the RL2460HT thanks your (and other forum members) advice on it.

Another up vote for BENQ here as well.  Before I switched I was playing on a Vizio 55" via HDMI, but never even looked to see if it had any special game modes or setting.

I was watching COD champs during Ghosts I think it was, had some cash burning a whole in my pocket and they had a promo sale on.  I got the XL2420T and it was absolutely the single biggest positive I could have done for my game, until the Duma came along.

I haven't looked back and am thinking about adding another one for split screen action as I get my gaming center in order.  :)
