Frosty45
Hi all I have only had my netduma for a few days and I have to say it works great. I also have an archer c7 router, is it best to connect my netduma to the C7 or directly to my isp modem? Also should I have all our household devices connected to the netduma or only using it for the gaming consoles?
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted February 15, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted February 15, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum Great to here that you're enjoying the router! All devices should be connected to the Netduma. The Netduma should be connected to your ISP modem. If you want to use the Archer router for only Wifi or something like that, then you should connect it to the Netduma and put it into AP mode. Also should I have all our household devices connected to the netduma or only using it for the gaming consoles? I currently have the same setup... Put the C7 into "ap" mode by changing some settings around. It's pretty easy and all your devices will show up on the R1 http://www.tp-link.com/en/FAQ-417.html I changed my netduma ip to 192.168.1.1 then change the DHCP range from 2 instead of 100 and I set the C7 to 192.168.1.2 http://i.imgur.com/Gs4mUXl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/thP8lax.jpg http://i.imgur.com/khPAp6w.jpg PM me if you need help

Frosty45
Do I connect it modem-c7-netduma or modem-netduma-c7
PharmDawgg
Best configuration is Modem > Netduma > C7. And use the C7 as an access point. That way the Netduma will be able to detect all the congestion on your network.
fuzzy clam
I would follow Mod's example as lots of people have another router behind the duma for the 5g speeds but like buck said needs to be...modem > duma > C7 so you can enjoy all the benefits of the duma and still have the faster 5g speeds of the C7.
