Using Firefox and it looks as if nothing if VPN. Does VPN have a button to turn it off because nothing is checked there.

Sounds like it is off then check further down the page there is an apply button.

Hmmm I unchecked enable and hit apply and all it does is try load but it never does anything just sets there trying. I also tried Chrome and same thing there.

Still nothing, firewall shut down add blocker disabled and antivirus disabled too.

 

Can you remove any port forwarding/restrictions you have on your ISP hub

Nothing port forwarded. I get a message box that says your using an old VPN setting etc. when going into VPN page.

I get that same message but that shouldn't be the issue,but your milage may vary

If you scroll down to the enable tick box and untick then click apply the pop up goes.

bump Still not working no ping or trace route.

 

Can you make sure that no devices are selected on the VPN even if you aren't using it. It should be a grey colour (instead of white) when it isn't selected :)
