Xacebop
My isp came out because at night my speeds go from 60/5 to 1/0.05 the guy checked my line gave me a new modem ran all kinds of speed tests etc When he ran speed tests through the netduma with nothing plugged in he was getting spikes in his speeds as well as a limit of around 45 megs, he then went to the modem, got no spikes and was getting 65. I asked him to try my other router a belkin n600 and it was also stable 65meg. I factory reset the Duma and tried it from stock and was still having the same issues, spiking numbers. So my other router is basically better, how can I use that router with netdumas software? Or what can I do to correct the spiking. Isp guy said I'm losing at least 12 meg down just by using the router but I could care less, I just want my connection stable and I realize that's gonna be hard to do because my numbers drop at night for some reason my isp couldn't figure out. Is there a way to run everything via my other router and just only plug my netduma into the router to monitor all its connections?
UK_Wildcats_Fans
Do you have the congestion control at 100/100? What algorithm are you using - preemptive or reactive? Have you done speed tests on both algorithms? Have you tried resetting the device prioritization (aka the flower) and update prioritization? Xacebop
Yes to both, after I reset the factory settings I only had the one device. I've tried both and have not noticed any difference. My speeds are also 100% on both settings. Gonna retry again but would like to know how I can use the other router as the main hub and just use the software for netduma by linking them together. Zennon
A few links that may help What firmware are you using if it is not .5 here is a link to it please follow the instructions. http://forum.netduma.com/topic/9124-major-router-upgrade-now-available-v-1035/ http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=why_is_my_speed_lower http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=how_do_i_open_my_nat&s[]=nat
Xacebop
When I tested it originally I was on the newest firmware, .5m I think, I reset back to .3 and deleted the wifi and did a speed test with only the one device. The links above I use on a daily basis so were not helpful in this case. I've disconnected my netduma until I have the time to figure out why. dionysus
You say at night the speeds drop some ISP's throttle your connection to give you less speeds at off peak times. It could be a fault on the line or to many people using internet in your area. I'm no expert but it might not be the duma at all. Do your speeds drop at the same time each night? The Duma's congestion control will give you less speeds if not set to 100% and the distribution flower needs to be reset if moved there is a bug in the current firmware it will be fixed in the next update.
