I have this sometimes and found various fixes. The latest fix was to reset Voice Devices in Discord.
-
How far did you look for returns before posting this? https://netduma.com/terms/
-
The link for support is https://forum.netduma.com/forum/148-netduma-r3-support/ You then need to create a post, just like all the other users on here with the issues and what you have tried. The Mods or other users will then assist.
-
A mod has already advised what you need to do above. You havent provided ANY details of the issues you are having and what you have tried. How can they help when you haven't told them?
-
Post your issue on the forum (just like you did for this post) and someone will be able to help you. Ensure to detail the issue along with what you have tried to resolve the issue as just asking for "help" wont achieve a quick resolution.
-
Ask yourself why you have needed to reply 3000 times? What has driven customers to have to resort to seek assistance from you due to issues caused by either poor comms/bad software testing or design? You don't buy a car and have customers report the indicators don't work and the dealership says "oh you need to switch on your headlights to make your indicators work, until we can resolve the software issue" You don't buy a game where A button doesn't make your character jump and as a workaround you need to remap the button to X. Even now you are getting new issues raised by your paying customers that haven't been tested prior to release. These are basic issues. I just think to help your customers, to be more forward and transparent with what is broken, what is being done to resolve the issue and also what is the temporary workaround I love the idea of what Netduma is trying to achieve but this isn't the first time a lot of your customer base have tried your routers and it is your 3rd attempt at getting a R router released. Surely some lessons have been learnt from all the other previous instances that could have made this a better release? I'll give you a live example. How was the issue of upnp and DMZ allowed to get through your quality checks before being released which then causes your customers with knock effects such as routers locking up and needing to be restarted? You know a lot of your customers would you use one or both of these so why weren't these tested and why was it down to your customer to highlight this simple, basic router function wasn't working?
-
8700 posts in the space of 3 months to the R3 community since the router was released! That is a lot. Even I feel embarrassed for you. Come on Netduma, do better, you shouldn't need this amount of posts for a successful launch so it clearly shows something went wrong with the launch? Was it launched too early? Yes some people have duplicated posts but almost 9000 post in 3 months (average 100 posts a day can not be seen as successful!) Time to own up to all of these issues that your paying customers are essentially beta testers for you which is not acceptable. How about making a post to pin to the top of the forum with a hands up to accept there are issue, list the known issues and known "workarounds" and start making some changes to resolve some of these issues to your PAYING customers? What do you say?

Where did you find that? It's wrong so dont know who wrote that. For example the default gateway IP isnt 192.168.0.1 out of the box but is instead 192.168.77.1 out of the box. Of course you can change it to 192.168.0.1 but this might then clash with your ISP router (if using this set up).

You seem new around here - Dont be so condesending. The guy is a Mod on here, of course he knows basic networking to understand this.

Since firmware 0.41 update Xbox party chat not working
DanologyUK replied to djbazzelbean's topic in Netduma R3 Support
On Xbox, check your NAT type in Settings - Network Settings (itll show on the right side of the screen). Im on .41 and when i have moderate NAT, it wont let me into the party chats but when open it allows me in, no problem. For me i just had to open port 3074 on the Netduma router or enable UPNP. Also make sure, on your BT Hub, that you put the Netduma in the DMZ so all traffic passes through from the BT Hub to the Netduma router unrestricted. -
I was already giving xbox a static IP before setting the DMZ IP to my xbox's IP. I also did a reboot after setting it but still, the device goes into a state that won't let you load the OS page via browser or app and requires another reboot which will last for maybe a day before repeating.
-
I have found if i use DMZ, it will cause the router to not be accessible via web browser or app and will require a reboot each time.
-
I didnt have this issue for a couple days (after taking my xbox out of the DMZ), i thought id put the xbox back into the DMZ and came home to this issue again. (excuse the dust) - Ethernet cables only in port 1 and 2 @Netduma Fraser - I will leave the router like this and wont reboot for a while in case there is any benefit of other tests / remote access being needed
-
You didn't need to reset it, just reboot it to regain access.. There are alot of posts about this issue already with tips to try to avoid it happening.
-
You are trying to download the update file from the pin forum post yeah? There isnt a way to download it directly through the router with this update. Once you have the file, you can goto Settings > Troubleshooting and click the Upload Firmware, select the downloaded file and itll upload it to the router.
-
If you set the speeds manually, you dont need to run the test.

fortnite Geo-Filter Does not work in Fortnite
DanologyUK replied to royalqx's topic in Netduma R3 Support
What version Firmware are you on? -
Have a read of the forums to make your own decision. People have experienced WIFI issues including coverage. Also the router does not have the VPN function yet but been told that it's coming. Personally if i could turn back time to when i pressed the buy button for this router, I wouldnt buy it. Maybe in 6 months once we have all beta tested the broken functions into a working state.

XR500 Made by Netgear R3 Made by Netduma ------------ 2 different companies

A VPN routes traffic, the router doesnt and never has said it could. If you wanted specific traffic routing then the router is not for you. See here for a similar user who was confused with what the router could do compared to a VPN

I've rebooted since the issue. This video just shows you a recording of the app and what is happening. az_recorder_20240203_214230.mp4
-
No sorry for the confusion. When I say it's highlighting, I mean the "download logs" highlights/flashes to show you've pressed it. The log text doesn't highlight.
-
Ive just created a post in the DumaOS forum as i have this issue now where im losing wired connection and tried to download logs but nothing happens and that is due to the app not requesting File and Storage permissions.
-
I keep loosing wired connection on my R3 but yet i can still connect to the R3 by using the DUMAOS app. When i goto Troublesheet and System Logs, there is a button called Download Logs in the top right corner but clicking it just highlights it and doesnt do anything. Checking in App Permissions, the App doesnt ask for File and Storage Permissions so would never be able to save any downloaded files. There isnt even an option to give it File and Storage permissions. The only permission that can be given is Camera. Im using Samsung Galaxy S24 running Android 14 / One UI 6.1

Yes you should enable DMZ as it will prevent you from accessing game servers. For example, with a Double NAT, you wont be able to join an Xbox Party Chat and if you can, you wont be able to hear anyone. This is the same for accessing many more different types of game servers for all consoles and PC
