Just hope and pray that the next patch for BO4 undoes whatever they did that created all this skippy/stutter bollocks. Preferably before I put my Xbox through my monitor.
It's got to be something wrong with the game or the servers (or both), it's so frequent that it can't just be down to enemies with bad connections, it's pretty much every game since the big patch.

    Hey guys
I just recently joined the Netduma team as a Software Test Engineer.
I will be working on developing tools, for example, our cloud infrastructure to optimize
Black Ops 4 (I hear this is what you guys want to hear)
as well as other games. I'll also be watching this forum to provide
    support with DumaOS.
Apart from that I love games. I've been playing a lot of Fortnite lately
but I'm also into RPG's like The Witcher (only The Wild Hunt though). I'm
looking forward to getting to know everyone and be part of the
    Netduma community.

Last month we introduced DumaOS Milestone 1.3. We are happy to announce that it is now available for all Netduma R1 users. Everyone who has signed up to the Open Beta of DumaOS will have received an email with the firmware link and installation instructions.
If you have not signed up to the Open Beta yet, please go here: https://netduma.com/r1-dumaos/
Nighthawk XR500/XR700 users: stay tuned for an announcement on when this will be available on your router.
    This milestone includes:
Ping Assist v2: it's back and it’s better than ever. Ping Assist lets low ping hosts to connect to you even if they are outside your Geo-Filter limit, helping you to quickly find high quality, low ping games.  Hybrid VPN: apply your VPN to your entire network and also choose the devices and applications you want to put through your VPN using DumaOS Deep Packet Inspection. Advanced Ping Stats: see the Server (Host) Tickrate and Receive Rate, as well as your own Client Tickrate and Send Rate. This allows you to see the quality of your game's connection in far more detail than ever before. Device Manager Enhancements: shows every device on your Network and you can now view this as a sortable table, to give you easier administration. This is the first of many DumaOS milestones which we will continue to roll out to make your router even more powerful.
    Have fun.

Burger100 reacted to Netduma Luke in Announcement: DumaOS Development Milestone 1.3
About two years ago we made the biggest decision in our company’s history. We knew we had the best router software on the market, but we were not developing at the speed we wanted to.
Every time we made a change, we were forced to repeat the same steps each time. Not to mention, a single change risked breaking other features.
    Netduma Dev Team c. 2016
We pulled the trigger. We decided to start-over again, taking all the lessons from our launch to design an entirely new firmware. We made DumaOS, the router operating system for your home.
DumaOS gives us the foundations to develop new features, which we call ‘R-Apps’ (‘Router Apps’), at incredible speed. And we will be doing this from now on in a series of Development Milestones. Each Milestone will bring more functionality to your DumaOS-powered router, solving the real problems you face online.
Netduma Dev Team - Present Day
Before we go any further, some important rules:
Predicting software development is tricky, sometimes things go much faster than you expect, sometimes they go slower.  So until we are certain, the ETA of a milestone will always be ‘Whenever it’s ready’. The contents of a Milestone could change. We might need to defer some of it to a future Milestone, or we might be able to squeeze in some extras. Milestones may not always roll out to every DumaOS powered router at the same time or with the same contents. With the housekeeping out of the way, let’s get onto the fun bit:
    Milestone 1.3

Milestone 1.3 is the first publicly announced Milestone for DumaOS. It brings cutting-edge new technology, as well as old favourites, to your DumaOS powered router, enabling you to take even more control over your network.
    Ping Assist v2

Ping Assist is back, and it’s better than ever. Ping Assist lets low ping hosts to connect to you even if they are outside your Geo-Filter limit, helping you to quickly find high quality, low ping games.
DumaOS Ping Assist is a big step up on the original Netduma R1 Ping Assist - we have rewritten the whole feature to be far more effective at quickly detecting pings – meaning you can find the best hosts on the planet much faster than before. The results are truly incredible, especially in games like Black Ops 4, Fornite, PUBG, Overwatch, FIFA 19 and many others.
    Hybrid VPN

Another return of an old favourite. Hybrid VPN lets you apply your VPN to your entire network and also lets you choose the devices and applications you want to put through your VPN using DumaOS Deep Packet Inspection.
This gives you so much more flexibility than a standard VPN, allowing you to keep the vulnerable areas of your network private and secure without affecting the devices that don't need a VPN. Hybrid VPN works with any VPN provider that uses OpenVPN (almost all do).
    Advanced Ping Stats

There’s a new buzzword in town: Server Tickrate. This is the number of updates a game server makes per second. If your game runs at 60 frames per second, you ideally want a Tickrate at 60Hz (60 updates per second).
Knowing the importance of this metric to our users, we have created Advanced Ping Stats. You can now see the Server (Host) Tickrate and Receive Rate, as well as your own Client Tickrate and Send Rate. This allows you to see the quality of your game's connection in far more detail than ever before. You can also pin to your DumaOS Dashboard for quick reference in-game.
This is just the beginning for this feature. Now we are capturing server metrics we can do some cool things to give you an edge. Look out for more in future Milestones.
    Device Manager Enhancements

The DumaOS Device Manager shows every device on your Network and you can now view this as a sortable table, to give you easier administration.
    We Need You!

Milestone 1.3 is has been driven by user feedback. So if you have any ideas or suggestions for suggestions, let us know on the forum.

If your changing the min and max range for DHCP IP address pool, then yes, change this. I believe default is .1.2 thru .1.254. You can change this to .100 thru .200 and have plenty of room for statics on either side. Then set up the IP address for the game consoles with in the pool. I like to use .198 and .199 for mine. Works well. You'll need to power OFF then back on the consoles after making the change so the new IP addresses show up on the consoles. In fact turn all devices OFF accept for your PC that your using to configure the router. Once changes are made and you reboot the router. Then re-connect the devices.

To specify the pool of IP addresses that the router assigns: 1. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to the router network. 2. Enter http://www.routerlogin.net. A login window opens. 3. Enter the router admin user name and password. Manage the Router’s Network Settings 75 XR500 Nighthawk Pro Gaming Router The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified the first time that you logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive. The Dashboard displays. 4. Select Settings > Setup > LAN Setup. The LAN Setup page displays. 5. Make sure that the Use Router as DHCP Server check box is selected. 6. Specify the range of IP addresses that the router assigns: a. In the Starting IP Address field, type the lowest number in the range. This IP address must be in the same subnet as the router. b. In the Ending IP Address field, type the number at the end of the range of IP addresses. This IP address must be in the same subnet as the router. 7. Click the Apply button. Your settings are saved. The router delivers the following parameters to any LAN device that requests DHCP: • An IP address from the range that you define • Subnet mask • Gateway IP address (the router’s LAN IP address) • DNS server IP address (the router’s LAN IP address)

If it helps i have done the following to open my NAT, first turned uPnP off then port forward the ports 3074,3075 UDP. Then deleted my console from the geo-filter and unchecked strict mode and auto ping flushed the cloud and rebooted router, all this was done while console was hard off. Turned console back on and rebooted game up and now NAT was saying open in game. Then i enabled geo-filter back on and ticked strict mode and auto ping back on. This seems to work could just be a fluke on my behalf do to me being an old fart and a caveman when it comes to technology apologies if it does not help sorry.

Hi everyone - this is a temportary forum to support our users with Black Ops 4
Best Geo-Filter Setup for Black Ops 4
Based on our testing so far, there are some changes to the networking from previous CoD Titles. It looks like the game no longer queries peers (other players) when searching for a game. Instead it just picks the server.
From what we have found, the best approach is this:
Add your gaming device to the Geo-Filter DumaOS users only: set to Filtering Mode Set your ideal range e.g. just cover the server region you like the most (see the Map below for the current known server locations) Restart Black Ops 4 (or boot it up if not already running it) Try searching for games  From what we have seen, you should now only ever get servers within your radius for your entire playtime, so you get rapid search times on a guaranteed low ping. Without the Geo-Filter, you will be placed on different servers each game, meaning your ping fluctuates
NOTE FOR BLACK OPS 4 PC PLAYERS:
PC players need to make a small adjustment to allow hosts to appear
DumaOS Users - before doing the above steps, you need to go to Device Manager and click on your gaming PC. Change the device type to a PS4 and click Save. Now go to the Geo-Filter and add your device at the top. It will show the service as 'Console'. You can now follow the remaining steps above Original R1 Firmware - when adding your PC to the Geo-Filter, choose the Xbox Live Service to make the servers appear If you have any issues please let us know and we will look to optimise as soon as we possibly can. It's a new game with variables changing all the time, so please bear with us!

It may be a good idea to release R1OS and then test the hybrid VPN as there's already rumblings of this being seen as a further setback in the release. Just saying as I am starting to see 1 or 2 posts starting to emerge!

If that is true. It might be best to release it the week before BO4 comes out.  Lets get everyone upgraded and any issues that come up resolved so people aren't on here complaining their duma is screwed up and they can't even play BO4. Cause you know the headaches that's gonna cause on the forums.

Sure - there's just a couple more steps to take, but at this stage it's extremely minor stuff. DumaOS is running extremely well on the R1. It makes us feel proud of the Mikrotik hardware if anything; it's clear that it still packs a punch!
Just to clarify, we aren't going to release a launch date or build expectations this time. After the last delay I hope you can understand why - instead, we plan on dropping DumaOS very soon unannounced. It'll be ridiculously easy to upgrade, just like installing any new R1 firmware.
Looking forwards, once you all have DumaOS installed you should consider it to be the beginning. DumaOS is cross-platform; any feature released for the Netgear routers should make its way to the R1 as well unless there are exceptional circumstances. This means fan-favourites like Ping Assist or brand new features will be released for you guys long into the future. There could also be unique features on the R1 version of DumaOS, such as an entirely rebuilt settings suite.
Please don't take my word as absolutely accurate, especially later on - I'm just telling you what I know personally. I wish I could tell you an estimate of when it could be launched but it'd be defeating the purpose at this point!

If you recall, the legal issue was that we found out we had to make sure the R1 would be backwards compatible. So if you installed DumaOS and then wanted to revert back to the original R1 firmware, you could. This was a huge curve ball for us as we had to redesign how DumaOS connected into the R1.
As is no doubt evident now, it  turned out to be a bigger task than we expected. Thankfully, we've overcome it and we're now in the final stages of beta testing!
