  2. Great news! Would it be possible to release the 3.3 beta before fixing the mobile app or is it a problem with the firmware itself being too large with the mobile app features? I never really used the app much personally so not having app access, at least in the beginning of beta, wouldn't be an issue for me. I think most of us 700 owners would probably agree the firmware beta release > app functionality.
  3. @Netduma Fraser Any news bud?
  4. parece de esa manera, pero si otros enrutadores tienen 3.3, todavía tengo esperanza.

  6. How did the testing go?
  7. Oh? Was this for security reasons or just something that the devs thought was unnecessary?
  8. Can't you just flash the firmware using tftp?
  9. You're the man Fraser! A gentleman and a scholar!
  10. How about on the XR700? I remember there was 1 or 2 issues a while back and there was supposed to be a meeting. Anything good to report on that device?
  11. Honestly I think it was the combination of the igmp proxying with the traffic prioritization. With either of them off with the other on, the issue still persisted. Only with them both turned off did it stop the sync issue.
  12. Yes in the QoS page at the bottom I have disabled traffic prioritization. QoS is still on and congestion control sliders are still on "always" at 60/50.
  13. No my modem is a Motorola MB8611 which does not have WiFi. It does have some nice bells and whistles like a 2.5Gb WAN though. I actually have that going into the sfp+ port via cat8. I have found that turning off priority and disabling igmp proxying fixes the issue.
  14. My ISP (Cox) filters icmpv6 so I'm ditching ipv6 altogether until they figure out how to implement ipv6 properly.
  15. Yeah I would expect it would take off as a platform not just for the consumer market but could scale for gaming companies' servers' network systems and possibly even dominate fields like e-sports.
  16. Well even though I have an abundance of bandwidth, I still set my sliders to 50% each. We have multiple wireless and wired devices so I try to keep it conservative to keep everything running smoothly. So I noticed when there's a lot of WiFi traffic, the results on speed tests reflect QoS not by the wireless client but by the number of clients using the wifi itself. When my family gets together and some are downloading things, streaming, etc I can get results <100Mbps. When I'm by myself I can get close to the full 500 that my 50% sliders provide. That being said it seems that the wireless devices are being restricted by the QoS set to the wired AP.
  17. It would be great for the devs to create like a FreeBSD version of DumaOS for those of us who would like to use the platform on something a little more versatile and DIY. I could imagine a nice home built PC with endless variations of hardware running DumaOS like a boss. Could even set it up kinda like pfSense with your app store to download different packages like AdBlock etc.
  18. I'd also like to add it's not possible right now to get my full bandwidth into the QoS. The limit right now is 1000Mbps where I get closer to ~1200Mbps on speed tests. I have my sfp+ port acting as the WAN on the XR paired with a 2.5Gbps port on the cable modem. It would be nice to take out the limitation or at least set the limit to the max theoretical speed of the fastest port on the unit.
  19. Yes the XR is indeed giving the wireless clients IP addresses through it's DHCP. The AP's are set static through the XR via MAC reservation. The AP's just distribute wireless connectivity using the XR's IP as the gateway. On a side note: the wireless devices show up as hardwired because of this setup which is not abnormal and does not cause any issue on the wireless clients.
  20. Since QoS is set at the device level, it would be nice to have exempt device categories. Example: we have a rather large home with 2 hard wired AP's. The AP's don't have their own device label so they're set to OTHER. Also, I have the wireless radios turned off on the xr700. Since these AP's are just devices on the network, they're subject to the QoS % that I've set. Therefore they won't see the entire bandwidth I have to spread amongst their wireless clients. Those wireless clients should be subject to the QoS but not the AP's themselves as this limits the total allowed bandwidth to the AP creating much slower speeds to the multiple wireless devices connected to them. I suggest making a new device category for AP's in DEVICES which would be exempt from the QoS rules. An easier (and not as clean looking) way to do this would be too create an exception list in the QoS feature itself. This way users could designate individual devices they would want exempt from QoS.
  21. If the port process is so easy now, can't you throw us XR700 owners a bone and give us the beta as well? Most of us are probably still using the old 3.0 beta based off the *.34 FW. It sure would be nice to run some newer FW even if it is another beta.
  22. That would be great! I find the old A7 Legit a bit slow. Also the issues it's fixed (like actually making it able to name my Nintendo switch correctly without issue) plus all the newer features make the beta far superior even though it's older Netgear version fw. Tbqh can't wait for new 3.* DumaOS for the xr700. Beta is still a little buggy but like I said before far superior to A7.
  23. I'm on the beta for the xr700. I'm getting ICMP filtering errors for ipv6. Is this a known issue? Any plans on getting it fixed? I know ipv6 relies heavily on ICMP.
  24. How's that testing going along? Also I know Liam isn't with the team anymore but the firmware status page hasn't been updated since the 3rd. I try to check it every week or so to see if there's any change as I'd like to get the new update/beta ASAP. Hope all is well across the pond!
  25. I would also like to be added to the beta when available. Any news on progress? Are we any closer to a beta before final release?
