WESTC0AST reacted to Netduma Fraser in xr1000 2.4 wifi not so fast
It still works for 2.4GHz! 5GHz will always be better for speed though

Yes that's correct, Congestion Control

We are aware Ping Optimizer/Speed Test isn't 100% reliable at the moment and it's something the team are working on. Those features can still work, it just may not be every time. In the meantime best to adjust Congestion Control manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced.

WESTC0AST got a reaction from Netduma Fraser in Xr1000 Adblock
yes that's how it is now for me.i too assigned an ip and it fixed the issue.

WESTC0AST reacted to Caution in Xr1000 Adblock
this shows my Sonos. the only thing that show getting blocked is "msmetrics.ws.sonos.com"
yes then they not in use it still send transmit data very low. i would say make sure you system in network sonos is being pick up as sonos. as i had issue where IP addresses where getting assign to another device and this was showing in adblocker as being sonos but when looking in to it it would show samsung domains or apple domains.
i then just assigned static ip addresses to all my main devices and done a reboot and this fixed much of the issues.
I would say in adblocker about half of my traffic get blocked. i also use NextDNS that also is used to block adds.
i also run other add blocking lists tho. not just the default one.

I've no idea to be honest, of course smart devices are always in a 'listening' state so I would expect some sort of constant traffic but that does seem excessive. Yes quite possibly when it's at that level

Very hard to say to be honest without knowing what they were blocking - also not something I could speculate on, Adblocker just blocks ads I don't know how individual devices may communicate with services like that

No to both. .50 has some security updates that's all.

WESTC0AST got a reaction from Bruno in Xr1000 slow interface
Ps. Constantly having to reboot because of connection issues on random devices like my iPhone or my wife’s iPhone windows laptop etc.

WESTC0AST got a reaction from Bruno in Xr1000 slow interface
So just as the title say. The web interface is always slow to load and hangs for a long time. And the iOS app doesn’t even connect to the device. I’m thinking of trying a tftp firmware update. Will that even help?

WESTC0AST reacted to Netduma Fraser in Qos to ps5
Yes that's correct, although it looks as though it was working with DumaOS Classified Games which does cover consoles also

WESTC0AST reacted to DARKNESS in Xr1000 slow interface
@WESTC0ASTYeah I had the same issue trying to figure it out it took me two weeks to figure it out I was so mad and it because of dumb procedures you have to follow in order for it to function.
Also I did forget to mention TFTP doesn’t work on the XR1000 or if it does there just a low chance of it working etc

@WESTC0AST
I would go with nmrpflash if you want to refresh the whole OS to add the app won't work because there's a bug at the moment were users are unable to login. What are you specifically having no connection to all devices or is it specific devices? -

For the iPhones, disable the Random/Private MAC addresses option on the phones for the WiFi network and see if that works in future.
An update is coming to the app which should allow the router to connect.

WESTC0AST reacted to Harley in xr1000 issuing multiple ip addresses
I've seen mine do this before. It's "apparently" given two addresses to the same device.
I think it's just giving it a second one without actually releasing the first. I'm not very knowledgeable about that, so I could be wrong, but it will eventually update and never seems to cause any harm.

WESTC0AST reacted to Netduma Fraser in xr1000 issuing multiple ip addresses
Hey, welcome to the forum!
That's fine, when the DHCP lease renews it won't always give the device the same IP address as it had before. It won't negatively impact you in any way.
