  1. Yeah, that's showing up in myip. Thanks very much - going to see if that solves the NAT issues - fingers crossed.
  2. Cheers @Netduma Fraser, Netgear actually sent out a new router as I raised a support request and the new one seems to be fine. Set up IPv6 today and my xbox is showing as IPv4 & IPv6 with addresses for both which seems to mean its enabled according to the xbox support docs. I'm not actually sure how to check if it's properly working ok on the router though, is there a guide anywhere for validating IPv6 on devices? Seems like all devices have both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses so I assume it's up to the device what it uses? Only asking as in my MW2 network settings in-game, it shows my internal IP address as an IPv4 one which I would've assumed would show as an IPv6 address.
  3. I haven’t enabled IPv6 just yet, still on my same setup with no changes.
  4. Seeing this issue as well, nothing showing in the map but traffic prioritisation is showing traffic fine for gaming.
  5. Playing tonight and the Geo Filter isn't picking up any servers at all on the map. Can see Traffic Prioritisation picking up Duma Classified games though. Tried restarting the Xbox and no luck with it. Still ongoing issues with Geo Filter at the moment? I tried UK, Europe and the US to experiment with no luck.
  6. Poopy lagging? Not sure my router supports that… I’ll leave you to it anyways. Good luck trying to join the highest ping servers you can find in the world.
  7. If it’s just a game then why are you going to such lengths to exploit it? I played 5 mins of a game on one of the locations you were trying to join, I had a 300ms ping and I was killing people before they could even fire a bullet - everyone around me was stuttering about and couldn’t react to anything I was doing while I was also lagging about. Even people shooting me in the back, I could turn around and kill them - it was ridiculous. I would randomly die at times from someone shooting but it was clear I had a major advantage. Is that what you mean by “peakers advantage”? If you want to revel in toxicity in COD then that’s up to you but when legitimate players get fed up and all you’re left with is hackers and exploiters then you’re not gonna find it too relaxing. In the meantime, it’s good to see COD trying to stop this and hopefully can improve it again for season 3 for those of us who just want to play on a level playing field, separated only by skill.
  8. Hey, I noticed that the Netgear manual for the XR1000 also says its for the XR1000v2. I can't find any info on the v2 at all, curious what the differences are? Also, guessing CAPTCHA isn't quite working or bots have found an exploit on the forum to spam posts? Will these be getting deleted?
  9. I noticed a new firmware update is available from Netgear today (https://kb.netgear.com/000065541/XR1000-Firmware-Version-1-0-0-68?language=en_US) It includes these log-in related fixes: Fixes the issue where you cannot log in to the router through the router web interface. Fixes the issue where the router web interface is not accessible when you configure the XR1000 in AP mode. Maybe the update will fix your issue with logging in? @Netduma Fraser - might be worth updating the Firmware section of the forum to include the new version as it's showing 1.0.0.64 at the moment.
  10. Agree with @crunkjuice1 on this one. Geo filtering was advertised as a feature to find help connect to low-ping servers. I've had plenty of games with players from the other side of the globe and it's completely ruined everyone's experience on that server - find more people are quitting these games but it's become common in servers now. It's really ruining the online experience to the point where I'm playing it less and less. Would be good if Infinity Ward introduces low-ping only servers which would block others with high pings from joining - their current matchmaking seems a bit broken preventing this - although, maybe they've tried tackling in that in the S2 update which is why the Geo filtering issues are occurring.
  11. It might be worth checking what players are in the same lobby as you, if you come across the same players frequently, which I do as I have cross-play disabled. It's guaranteed that if the game starts with them in it, it's unplayable. I suspect they're joining with a very high ping causing issues with the server as Call of Duty tries to compensate for this causing games to be unplayable. With some of those players, they can end up in my next 5+ games in a row. Some are from America on UK or EU servers, some are from Asia - guessing they're using some form of Geo Filtering to give them an advantage. It might not be the same issue you're having but worth keeping it in mind. I've blocked them in Call of Duty and they show up with a muted mic symbol if they're in the same server in game so you know if they're in your lobby. My ping is always between 25 - 32 with every server I join - I don't think it's a reliable indicator of in-game lag though. If you end up in a game where that's happening and first place is way ahead while everyone else has a normal or bad kill/ death ratio, it might be worth looking at their profile and see if their country location is listed near their name.
  12. I bought a VPN subscription after seeing some Netgear Duma models were advertised with HybridVPN and was surprised the XR500 had it but the XR1000 didn't. Is the XR500 easier to develop for? Curious why the XR1000 is complicated - assuming it comes with extra levels of Netgear functionality that complicates things a bit or is it something else like the hardware configuration?
  13. I haven't had time to check this yet but will reply as soon as I do. Netgear raised an RMA for various issues I highlighted so I'll see if a replacement fixes any of the issues too. For NAT related issues, would it be worth using IPv6? I currently have this disabled but seen mixed results with people enabling it to sort out Xbox related NAT issues?
  14. I see the Dublin server being pinged but I haven’t checked outside of UK/ parts of Europe so I’ll check that in a bit.
  15. Update: my last reply was when I tested this issue on one Xbox and it worked ok but when you have 2, both end up with Strict NAT issues with GeoFilter on. As soon as one toggles off it gets Open, the other stays on Strict, when I turn off the other it becomes Open again. It says it can’t resolve a Toredo IP Address with it on so seems like something gets blocked still. Not sure if it’s worth a test for the dev’s on your side with 2 consoles on with Geo Filter turned on as 1 console seems ok.
  16. Is there an ETA for a full fix?
  17. Yeah, it worked with one console ok but when you have 2, both end up with NAT issues with UPnP with GeoFilter on. As soon as one toggles off it gets Open, the other stays on Strict, when you turn off the other it becomes Open again. It says it can’t resolve a Toredo IP Address with it on so seems like something gets blocked. I meant to update the other thread but was up quite late testing it and just got back on here when I had a break at work. I’ll update the other thread I started with what I’ve written above so I don’t side track the original issue in this thread.
  18. I think it’s still valid as it is genuinely causing an issue with my NAT, it can cause it to be strict with Geo Filter on and I can’t access party chat anymore on Xbox. If I follow the steps then it works so I think it’s still valid. With a single console is fine but if 2 consoles are on at the same time with UPnP then it causes a lot of issues - even with joining games. Wondering if there’s a server that needs whitelisted or some other issue there? It never used to be an issue until fairly recently.
  19. Hi, Just a small issue which will hopefully help others. I noticed in this support doc (https://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000076587-dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-open-nat) under the Geo Filter section, the steps don’t work for Call of Duty. I did some testing last night and it seems it pings all the servers when first signing into the COD services before the main screen before deciding on a few to prioritise. If you enable Geo Filter after then, which is what the docs suggest, you get stuck with matchmaking blocking the servers which it seems to prioritise when logging in. If you do it before it does the initial signing into their services, before it gets to the main screen, then it does work. Might not be obvious to others following the docs to troubleshoot any NAT issues with the Geo Filter. Seeing as COD is probably one of the most popular games to use this for, it might be worth highlighting that.
  20. Ah nice one, looking forward to the updates - thanks very much for the transparency!
  21. It’s already on the Netgear ones, was just saying you could use the same text they use for different languages if translation was the issue, or they might use an API to do automatic translation to different languages.
  22. Seems like multiplayer in COD is working but not Warzone so not 100% but improved.
  23. No worries, totally understandable. I've raised a lot of posts asking for help but not spent any time offering help or feedback so just want to pay back the hard work you guys do in the forums to help people - you've helped myself on many occasions and continue to do so. If you guys need any help, I'd be happy to do a deeper dive and provide a list of potential improvements and suggestions in terms of optimising the interface/ web app. Thanks for the tips, I'll go try that out as well with the interface and see if it helps. I find Chrome is much quicker than Safari using it which has helped a lot but some of the rapps can still take awhile. Also, happy to contribute in any way possible - would be happy even exporting the existing logic you have in the assets and adapt everything into a React/ PWA project if you wanted to see a proof of concept of what it could be like.
  24. Looking at the Netgear DumaOS, that's a feature that is already being offered. Could you not copy the language settings from Netgear or use the same copy they do?
  25. Allowing custom language files is really interesting. If it reads the text fields from a JSON config file which we could overwrite, share, and apply, that would be pretty cool. I’d be happy to create a webpage with a UI to do that which isn’t affiliated with Netduma and have a disclaimer saying so - so people could type what they want for those fields and export it. Could set up a subreddit for language files if you guys didn’t want it shared directly on the forums.
