Still picking up server in California
Netduma Liam replied to steelcity403's topic in Call of Duty Support
We've heard before of these sort of issues, it seems like different servers are used for different game modes. Could you please clarify if disabling filtering mode then allows you to get into a BR match? If so which region do you get connected in? -
Extremely slow SMB
Netduma Liam replied to jose13lilt's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
There isn't just yet, but there should be soon. We're currently testing new firmware for the XR500 and are working on some remaining bug fixes, so it shouldn't be too long until we can get a beta version out to you. -
Great, thanks for confirming. I've passed this information onto a developer and we'll look into it further for you.

Does this problem only apply to Wi-Fi devices, not wired devices? I wouldn't suggest using a firmware that old, if possible please re-upgrade to the latest and factory reset the XR afterwards. If the problem is still occurring I'm sure we'll be able to find a solution for you. -
Extremely slow SMB
Netduma Liam replied to jose13lilt's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
I suspect the $7 router is running simpler software that doesn't require much resources. Perhaps the addition of DumaOS and any extra resources that requires is what's causing the problem, that would also explain why it's not a problem in AP mode, because these resources are free again. Just a theory, we'll know more when the next XR500 firmware is released. -

Interesting, OK thanks for letting us know. There are new firmwares in the works for the XR500 so perhaps NETGEAR will include any changes to ReadySHARE if applicable. Otherwise it's possible we may be looking at a hardware limitation as initially suspected. -
Generally speaking, the most reliable approach is to set the PC device type to Playstation and select 'Choose manually' when adding it to Geo-filter. However, if that's not working, you could try setting it's device type back and then select the CoD profile (Try both standard and PC), then see if you're able to see anything in the Geo-filter map when you boot the game.

Welcome to the forum! What's the actual problem? Can you please describe it in as much detail as possible. How often does the problem occur? Is it a constant issue or does it seem to occur randomly? Let us know and we can work out how best to troubleshoot the problem further. -
Can you provide a screenshot of how it's currently setup? Are you using Geo-filter in conjunction with this? If so can you please also share how you've got that configured?

Hey, I've responded to the topic you've created. Let's continue there. -
Tracking internet usage
Netduma Liam replied to Spittin's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Not currently, but in a firmware version we're working on currently you'll be able to see exactly this. We don't have an estimate release date for this firmware just yet, but it's getting closer and closer. We post weekly updates on this page about the current status of firmwares so you can keep track of it here. http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000132677-dumaos-firmware-progress -

Which features specifically are you not seeing? Let us know and we'll be able to say whether that's expected or not. -

Could you let us know how you currently have Geo-filter configured? Are you using any other features in conjunction with Geo-filter, like HybridVPN? If show can you share how you've got it configured. -
Hey @GenMatrix, one of our developers is still looking into this. Do you think you could speculate approximately how many devices are online at the time of the disconnections?
-
Are you seeing any icons at all when you boot up the game? You should see a spread of servers across the map. If not, does you PC have a Wi-Fi adapter? If so, can you make sure that's disabled then reboot the game and try again?

R2 loses all connection periodically, requires unplug
Netduma Liam replied to The0dark0one's topic in Netduma R2 Support
I don't believe so, no. Any changes should be maintained with a reboot, if it resets entirely there may be a problem but otherwise you should be all fine. These changes should also be included in the latest firmware though, so feel free to download and install that, you can safely factory reset afterwards too. -
Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be anything in the logs that suggest a problem. The logs are particularly short because the R2 was rebooted beforehand. You could try leaving the R2 running a little longer, and maybe complete a few speed tests. However, if there aren't in problems in the logs from that, I think we may have found the max throughput your R2 can do with your connection.

OK, when you reset it, did you hold the button down for at least thirty seconds? Did you have to complete the setup wizard again? Could you please hit F12 on the DumaOS page, then in the Dev tools click the Network Tab, then tick Disable Cache. Then refresh the page and see if the issue persists?
-

OK thanks, could you send an email over to [email protected] with a link to this thread and we can look into this further for you.
-
Sure, try my previous suggestion and that should work for you then.

Have you upgraded the R2 recently? If so did you factory reset it afterwards? Could you try accessing the interface from a different browser you don't typically use and see if it loads properly there?
-
Welcome to the forum! Are you using the original power adapter with the R2? Was it plugged in to a wall outlet or to a power extender/strip? When plugged in now, is the power light on the R2 illuminated (furthest left) or are they literally all out?
-
Not as yet I'm afraid, as soon as we have any kind of ETA we'll be sure to mention it. Might be a good idea to follow us on Twitter @Netduma, that's where we'd post these sorts of updates.
-
Thanks for this. How many devices do you have connected to the R2 approximately? Can you run another speedtest quickly and take a screenshot of System Information page so we can see the usage/utilisation?
