  1. I tested, game boost, traditional QOS, and user limited and they all had large spikes while I saturated the bandwidth.
  2. I’ve tested the Rog and it didn’t touch the Dumas congestion control or other features.
  3. https://www.pingplotter.com/download/macos Have you tried this version?
  4. Fraser has asked me to post a guide for PingPlotter, I will keep it simple like myself, here goes.. Download PingPlotter Here Type a close IP to your region I usually use twitter.com or .co.uk but as i write this both were connecting to the US as I am in the UK I have set the ping plot to bbc.co.uk. Typing bbc.co.uk into the target address bar leaving the interval at 2.5 then pressing enter on your keyboard or the go button. A congested line looks like this. You can see the ping in real time, the ping numbers are listed to the left of the plot. I achieved this by setting my congestion control sliders to 100% each so that the duma was not helping with local congestion thus saturating the line. If you have a ISP issue from say a Intel PUMA 6 based CPU in a modem or ISP congestion an BT line fault (US/World infrastructure alternative) or even a faulty Ethernet cable, RJ11 or faulty Master socket face plate your line may look like this even when you set your sliders lower. This is a line idle with minimal traffic being used that does not use a PUMA 6 based chipset or have any network issues. This is a line downloading a full width saturating the line but using the duma congestion control at 70% each way If you would like to post a bad result to the forum or save a plot to prove to your ISP there is an issue after ruling out your own network then press File and click on save image and this will give you an image of the GUI at that moment for you.
  5. I have renamed it Best Gaming Modems , just let me or any other mod's know if you want to call it something else.
  6. Mod Box do you think the title should be renamed to low latency modems and point out the others have either the puma 6 CPU or another bad chipset to stop the confusion?
  7. The plots look terrible I would not be gaming with those spikes, if people want to game using the puma6 bugged CPU let them Lets move on, your plot looks spot on Mod just be happy you are out of the puma nightmare.
  8. It is and its great for cable folks that can fix this issue with a modem change or FW update, pleased for you guy's and gal's.
  9. It is looking more like the modem, we just would not want you to buy one and still have the issue. But of course you know the pitfalls Amazon may be the best place to buy.
  10. Yeah Buying a new modem might not solve the problem like mod says, If you can get the modem on a good returns policy like Amazon then it is worth trying.
  11. Now if all gamers that use cable know of this they can sort out this online mess, because it is not only awful for you playing with jitter its a nightmare playing against somebody with it. Ping compensation has a hard time dealing with the massive fluctuations, especially cod.
  12. DOCSIS 3.0-compatible Puma 6 modems have an issue and there will be a firmware update 3niz.
  13. Lets hope this helps a lot of users with cable connections. http://m.theregister.co.uk/2016/12/03/intel_puma_chipset_firmware_fix/
  14. Congratulations mate, well deserved.
  15. Are you searching from here http://support.netduma.com/support/home ? It works fine as I type it finds firmware and as i carry on with update it adds more.
  16. A monitor that senses ISP jitter not local jitter and alerts the user so people stop blaming the game or the router
  17. You sync in the modem not the duma so that can not be done I am afraid Ben.
  18. Hey less of that you southern softy
  19. I could use the historical data per device to have a go at my son, as I can not have a go over him making me lag any more due to the congestion control, it might give me something to twine about once more.
  20. https://www.opendns.com/about/press-releases/introducing-familyshield-parental-controls-the-easiest-way-to-keep-kids-safe-online/ Set up the DNS on the childs device to use the OpenDNS familyshield or in a router for a blanket ban
  21. So the ring sting reminds you of us in the morning?
  22. Congratulations Bagsta mate
  23. Hi Iain, I do not have much on my network just me and my lads pc that it picks up no problems at all, so I am no use. Good luck with this endeavour and getting the FW polished
