You get punished for having a good connection in gaming, The game will always favour the higher ping players, Wish I still had ADSL connection

DUMA BOLTON reacted to Netduma Lew in NEW R2 FIRMWARE: 3.3.280
Hey everyone!
We’re excited to provide you with the latest firmware for the R2 – DumaOS 3.3.
While it doesn’t bring immediately ‘obvious’ changes like DumaOS for Mobile, DumaOS 3.3 introduces a powerful new addition – our new AutoDPI. This is a big moment for DumaOS, and it means we’ll be supporting new games and applications faster than ever without needing to wait for a firmware update.
For details on what AutoDPI is and how it’s going to make things better, check out our video on it below:
DumaOS 3.3 also comes with a plethora of bug fixes as well as plenty of stability and usability improvements.
After extensive testing, we’re confident that DumaOS 3.3 puts the R2 is in a really good place: we hope you enjoy it.

Changelog
Wider range of games and applications supported by DumaOS (and more to come!). Hybrid VPN no longer experiences issues when switching between Wireguard and OpenVPN. DNS settings for Hybrid VPN are now retained after reboot. Fixed an issue where replacing a faulty config file for Hybrid VPN would cause functionality issues. OpenVPN logs are no longer deleted when the VPN is disabled. Various other fixes to Hybrid VPN functionality and stability. IPv6 traffic is now always categorised by QoS, allowing QoS to interact with it more reliably. Ping Heatmap no longer crashes if pinging an empty server group. Improvements to overall DumaOS stability, reducing cases where users see random reboots or disconnections. Numerous security improvements.

DUMA BOLTON reacted to Netduma Liam in Introducing Early Access
Hey all,
Hope you're all doing well and looking forward to the release of 3.2.
I'm just writing a quick post to let you know that we're looking for Early Access testers for future R2 DumaOS releases, starting with this one.
The purpose of the early access group is to test new firmwares on a larger scale right before we release them publicly.
Please note that these firmwares might not be completely stable and you may find issues, so beware of this before choosing to upgrade to them.
Go ahead and sign-up below: we'll reach out if you've been added!

DUMA BOLTON reacted to Netduma Fraser in Fifa 23 PS5 port prio
You can group them so if you have port 3074 and port 3090 for example you can set 3074 as the start and 3090 for the end of add them individually. Generally we recommend using Classified Games or using the Games Console service but experiment and see what works best for you.

DUMA BOLTON reacted to Netduma Fraser in Ping on geo-filter v ping in game
Both are accurate, simply put:
Geo-Filter: Shows your ping direct to the server, anything on your side of the server essentially, including the server location, ISP routing, modem, router, QoS settings etc can affect this. In Game: Shows your ping direct to the server + processing delay - All games have processing delay but not all choose to include it in their ping calculation, CoD does. I would expect the in game ping to be 20-30ms higher than the Geo-Filter ping maximum. If the in game ping is 30+ ms higher than the Geo-Filter then it indicates the server is under heavy load (too many players online on the server bank), when this happens it's a good idea to try and force a different server. Even if the ping on (1) is higher, if (2) is lower overall than the previous server then you will have more stability and a better experience.

DUMA BOLTON reacted to alex.devine in MW2 Shoot First Die first? how to fix this?
There is some sort of bug with my XR500, you need to set it to Do not VPN these services, go into game and check the network tab, it should show the location of the VPN.
Another bug I notice is if you make changes to the VPN, you need to switch it off and back on. (I do not add ports to the advanced on the VPN).
Do a FULL restart on the PS5, it will not find games until you have restarted, I get the cant find a game until I have done that.

Same! Anything below MTU 1400 is a bingo for me, the games just won’t load

DUMA BOLTON got a reaction from Hydros85 in MW2 Shoot First Die first? how to fix this?
I tried normal and Wan didn’t make much difference, currently testing out gaming/voice but can’t see that being any much better as I’m playing on Ethernet and not wireless, I hope the next duma update fixes the so people know the correct QoS setting for there setup.
