Some isps restrict the number of mac addresses to a limited number of devices to be used. i had this issue with my fiber isp as I swap router often between any given 4 different ones. no matter what I did only same 2 routers would work. turns out my isp limits mac address to 2 maximum. called and they said the needed to reset the mac address table. Not saying that is your problem but it could be.

By that I mean I have a bad time if I’m not throttling the connection. I have recently stopped doing it though and it seems ok lately but not optimal and definitely not consistent.

Yes the 2 combined but especially the eomm. I can handle sweats if the game is connecting right but I swear they will nerf you mid game if you're destroying folks.

I am tending to agree as it was good after that change for a while but immediately went back to crap after several good matches.

Just a simple heads up and I know it sounds dumb but it’s true. I bought a Ps5 slim bundle so ended up with mw3 on xbox and ps. If you disable cross play on ps5 to avoid the pc sweats you will probably face long matchmaking times on the other platforms. I flip flop between both consoles on mw3 as it has cross save as well and after disabling cross play I faced this issue. I didn’t put 2 and 2 together at the time but noticed I had been getting way long matchmaking times recently on xbox. Upon researching and finding a video explaining it I enabled cross play and it fixed matchmaking times back to very short wait times on xbox. Probably rare that someone swaps between consoles but maybe this can help someone if they experience this. Has to be a bug but looks like it dates back to modern warfare 2019.

I did it in smartqos and didn’t have issues with packet loss. On gig fiber though so maybe that’s it. Anyway it’s not as consistent as I’d like but will be tinkering more with it. This was with R2 behind a XR500 but presently I’m back to my isp gateway which is a calyx and will be adding the R2 behind it to experiment until my R3 arrives.

I should have clarified. The R2?

Which router?

Got one pre-ordered! Exciting times for sure! -
5 down, .5 up. It’s unplayable otherwise and even this isn’t consistent. Of course you have sbmm screwing everybody over on top of that.
