bagsta69
Yeah but core dom was a pain in the ass with people not bothering with the obj. Really glad HC dom is back. Still probably a bit of a lucky game but hey it was fun.
lthoma1989
Connection should be all that matters in pubs. Then sort it out from there. If everyone has a decent connection in the lobby than the experience is better for everyone. We all were noobs at one point, so if your getting hammered, not much to say. Connection should be primary concern for a lobby and sbmm can stay for league play. Nothing worse than playing against a lobby of "equally skilled players" but yet they can see you around corners. Not much skill in that...
Dillinger
I'll be prestiging for sure. I plan on playing this for the next year and there is a 90% chance I'll be playing it well into the next season when the next Infinity Bored title drops. Prestiging makes you a better player. You have to get smacked a couple of times when when you lose your crutches, but it forces you to make the most of what you have and learn new ways to attack/defend. I enjoy the meta game of it, but I really only enjoy it when my guns aren't loaded with marshmallows and air-kisses, as they seem to be currently. ziocomposite
I can see why some people don't want to prestige since in an essence you do lose everything and some people don't have the time to try and regain the advantages of the unlocks. I like to prestige for the extra class slots allowing multiple variations to counter other players. I do tend to try out different load-outs/set-ups per prestige as well. I agree, prestiging does make your a better player and it does get easier the more you prestige if you use your permanent unlocks by about prestige 5 you can pretty much set up a decent class straight after prestiging. That is if you actually do get the permanent unlocks lol. Don't know what happened to me I seem to be unique in not getting a permanent unlock...hopefully I will on the next one
FQs19
So everyone moaned about Skilled based matchmaking. They take it out and presto, you get ass raped by Try hards every game. Not much fun hey? Skilled based balancing was way better, but you need the player population to be able to work it. I think Trey arch will see many noobs not repeat playing, as no one likes being a punch bag for better players. So as the player population drops off, they may have to consider some sort of a level playing field for players who have lives and don't play video games because they don't have girl friends. Agree 100% SBMM should never be implemented in public matches. Put SBMM in league play since that's the point of league/ranked play. A public match should be made up by players with the same ping, first and foremost. Once the lobby is full, the game should split up teams based on SBMM. So if there only 2 prestige people, then those players would be on opposite teams. I believe Vonderhaar has stated that this is how BO3 is running. If you search you'll find that BO3 matchmaking is exactly like BO2. People in a clan or group should be matched against other clans or groups and never individuals. If they can't find a game then tough. I buy the game as an individual not as a group. Individuals should be the priority not clans.
Newnsy
Did read the rest of the thread but if you go back into the prestige menu and you get your perm unlock in there. I didn't see it to start with

DARK BAWGS
WOW, I guess with my spm it's gonna take me about 30 hrs lol At my age I may not have time... My nephew can over today and he had never played BO3 (says he gave up on COD games) anyway he got on my system (HC TDM) and immediately was a k/d over 1. I learned a great deal watching him play. Later after the boys left I sat down and started to play - it was like magic, just following his play style I ended the night at 1.1; never been over one and infact the best I had was .69 in AW and the Beta of Black OPs. Today I started out with .39! It was killing me, as you could tell from my earlier posts. I think two things worked for me one was the connection was awesome and I really learned something then applied it. Now I only hope it continues, only time will tell. ziocomposite
Great input Bawgs! Watching someone's style is actually a great method! I previously watched other players using theater mode when they did really well and incorporated various tactics/styles into mine.
Dillinger
I prestiged on PS4 and got my unlock token, but I do remember I had to look for it to find it. Then my PS4 controller trigger stopped working *sad panda*, so I moved over to XB1 and in the 30's on entry level prestige right now. The road is long, but I do enjoy the meta game of "No Ghost Crutch" vs the UAV spam. Honestly, the launchers lock on so quickly, I can swap weapons, find and shoot, have the thing destroyed by the second pass if I am on my game. UAV spam doesn't bother me, I see it as free points. The M8 may be what I unlock with my first prestige. I have been playing a LOT of Dom lately and that gun just RAPES from any headglitch overlooking "B" Dom. Headshots for DAYZ!!! Love the M8 especially with long barrel. Most of my friends are prestige 3-8. They keep bugging me to prestige. I want to play around and find my best weapons, perks and style. I am constantly experimenting. Once I find what works best for me, I may prestige and unlock the most critical.
ziocomposite
Which item to unlock varies per individual. I play mostly on a team though I try to stick to my own area of the map at all times vs with everyone. In addition my game type is predominantly TDM or KC. With that being said my current unlocks in order - Dead Silence Ghost m87 Counter UAV Trying to see which unlock I will go with next. I'm thinking of either the H.A.T.R. or Nomad/Seraph specialist. JConnor
It's funny you bring this up because I have two friends who have never played a CoD before and who are avid CSGO players who said they wished there was SBMM, so they could play others of similar skill level while they ranked up. I told them about League (Arena) and they said they are going to switch to that instead of public matches. There is nothing wrong with wanting to face an opponent who is closer to your skill level than far above you, but the only way you learn how to get better is to actually LOSE to those who are better than you. This is something nobody wants to admit, but it is part of the natural learning process. My friends also wanting an immediate SBMM system (since they are new to CoD) also reflects how coddled gamers have become across all genres, too. Gamers are now conditioned to be able to obtain a "win button" by simply playing the game and not even earning it. The "win button" may actually be a piece of MicroDLC, or P2W type-item most games now have adopted as their primary economic model due to it's sustained income post-game release. The main point is BO3 is like it should be as far as PVP. I have seen matches with mixed skill levels... And I don't mean the level / Prestige number next to a player's name. I've seen level 20s destroy second, third Prestige players simply because they play the game better and this is how it should be, IMO. CoD public matches are like going down to your local playground and starting a pick up game of basketball. Anybody of any skill level should be able to join. It's not Kobe vs. LeBron who are both professionals and similar to League (Ranked) play where wins and losses count for something and are worth real money at their level.
