r8rs4lf
So I got my R1 all set up. Been playing with a few settings here and there. Got into a lobby, Core/TDM about 160 miles from me, that's pretty close which should be great. Got a 22ms ping, that should be fabulous. Got my Geo shrunk down to almost nothing to get local games. All game I shoot first, die first. Can someone please tell me how this possible with this type of connection? From what I've read here, that should be a pretty damn good connection. Any suggestions? lukasz
Hello there sorry to hear that Could you please post information form this link http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=lag_support_instructions
r8rs4lf
Ok here is all you wanted. As for this ping graph, it was a pretty constant 2X all game. That large spike was right when I got into the game. I pay for 18mbps upload, but not sure on the download. I've run wired speed tests and I get a consistent 18.X upload and a .95 download. lukasz
Sure buddy I see you are 2 consoles You sad You Play BO2 so I believe you are experiencing lag on the PS3 right? And what are the readings for packet Loss on Internet diagnostics?
r8rs4lf
Yes PS3. Reason for playing BO2 on PS3 is because everything else that has come out for PS4 has been garbage. I haven't played Advanced Warfare in so long I had a 5.XXGB update that is taking forever. When it's done I'm going to see how it works with this R1 on the PS4. lukasz
Sure with down loads for PS4 there is a way to speed things a bit. What you need to do is to start the download the posse it for few 10 min and the un posse it and it should go a lot faster. Now what cloud settings are you using? lukasz
Could you please tick the bleeding edge and then hit apply and play some games and tell me how it goes?
Dillinger
Might try getting the settings running and THEN booting up the game. That has helped some folks. On my phone, but ping and diag looks good. Playing on a dedi perhaps? Or maybe the host was close and had good ping to you, but game load caused problems for host? r8rs4lf
Checked bleeding edge. Games seem a little bit better. Still shoot first die first. I did notice something odd on my last game. I was connected to a host 1780 miles away with a 100ms ping and I went 37-6. How is that possible when I have my GEO filter set to 200 miles and a 30ms ping? This was still on PS3 BO2. So to all the Netduma experts, how do all these attachments look? Should I not be lagging? Any suggestions?
r8rs4lf
The ping was higher than that when I was in game. around 150ms. I went 65-7.
II Z IE IR O II
The next question is this? When you're playing a game that's laggy, are you connecting to a dedicated server? Or are you connecting to P2P? That last pic you just posted was P2P! You can tell because the "update" button shows. When you connect to a dedicated server, that "update" button won't appear. My guess is that if you are connected via P2P and game play is laggy, that particular host has a crappy connection no matter if your ping is good! I would use that "update" button and put that host in the deny area of the allow and deny feature. There are times when you connect to a host that has a higher ping but games plays great. Those are the ones that you put in your "allow" section. REMEMBER: The R1 is a tool, not a miracle! You folks are fortunate that you even get 20ms pings! Here in the middle of the ocean, we are lucky we get games with 80ms ping! Even with a 100ms ping, I still kick peoples ASS! Give me a 20ms ping......I am GOD! Just kidding Also...this is far fetched but a hurricane is headed towards Mexico (looks to be your located in California), which may be causing some issues too (internet congestion)! Like I said, this is far fetched but that Hurricane Patricia is a BEAST churning up some shit in the eastern pacific! With sustained winds of 200mph and stormy seas, who knows whats happening out there! If that storm was heading towards Hawaii, only god knows what our fate would be! Another thing too, Microsoft and Sony seems to be moving around connections to areas I haven't connected to before, possibly in anticipation of BO3
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 23, 2015 Administrators Share Posted October 23, 2015 PA most likely picked it up, may have detected it at under your limit so was allowed but then the ping rose but it was already allowed. Exactly as II Z IE IR O II said above
Dillinger
Move your Ping Assist to "0" - That will keep you firmly planted inside your Geo-Filter, regardless of what ping the game measures on some far off box.
