decimalator
I think I remember seeing that the geofilter ping assist is not supported in Destiny, is this still true? Are there any plans for implementing it if not?
Dali86
Destiny is build in a special way so the PA can't work the way it works in COD. This is not the R1's fault but rather the "fault" of the crucible development team. The best way how to play the Destiny-crucible is definitely on the Netduma wiki page for Destiny. Chive972
The best way is to have 500km radius with no PA in skirmish and rumble because 6vs6 mode are garbage in connection point of view.
decimalator
Anybody have a technical explanation of why it doesn't work?
Chive972
In Call of duty, there is one host per game but in Destiny, all players in the game are host. Did you ever experience a game where all players were in red and you can see after that there is only one player in the game with red bar? Just only one player can messed up a game with his connection so the PA won't help in this situation.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 2, 2015 Administrators Share Posted October 2, 2015 I'd just reiterate what everyone has said, PA won't work with Destiny due to the nature of the game, the settings in the wiki are a good starting point and should get you great games
sncjez
I've just had a couple of hrs playing PvP like chive mentioned 6v6 is pretty bad duma does it's job but only takes steve and a few others a few hundred miles away to have the family doing other stuff on the internet causing him a red bar and issues for everyone else this is because bungie make all players host. My best advise is to shrink the filter as low as you can and be patient and find a game within a couple of mins just played 8 rumble games and won 6 with a radius of 288ml home set in the london area this was in three different lobby's to test. Would it be possible to add a "Destiny PA" feature that checked the pings of all players instead of just the "host"?

LOL if I could find one game in a 288 mile radius of me I'd be amazed. You've clearly never been to Oregon. I appreciate the advice though. Would it be possible to add a "Destiny PA" feature that checked the pings of all players instead of just the "host"? PA is for helping you to find games, but for Destiny it won't work so best to keep at 0. For P2P games such as Destiny we have "peer ping" which does just this, so enable that on the Geo-filter and you can see the pings for each player

Ah fair enough didn't think about you folks out in the big lands i would just keep shrinking until you can bare some patience with matchmaking i'm fortunate here with my geo shrunk to 280ml in a populated area within the E.U can now totally understand your point re P.A. What I'm looking for its an extension of the "peer ping" to not just SHOW me the pings but to FILTER based on the pings of each peer. If 10/11 other players of a 6v6 match are in a good range but that 12th guy is pinging really high, I don't want to be in that match, filter me out. Make sense? Clearly this is a future release kind of feature, not something I need right this second or that the current firmware can do

May be able to do that will have to look into it
