the prototype Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I would like to know if i can block people and they don't have to be host. Specifically can i block a certain tryhard person from joining my games?
PharmDawgg Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 You can only block a certain host on the R1 and they have to be host for you to block them. Now outside of the R1 I know with the Xbox One if you know a person's gamertag you can block them as well. I don't have a playstation so I do not know about it.
the prototype Posted September 28, 2015 Author Posted September 28, 2015 So if i'm host of the game it won't block other players from joining that I have blocked because of their host, if that makes any sense. Basically i'm trying to avoid annoying ass tryhard kids
PharmDawgg Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 It just will only block them from being host of your game.
Dillinger Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Yeah, if you are on the Playstation network I don't think they have much in the way of assistance in avoiding other players. If the game in question has a small player population (like a rare game type in a 5 year old game), you are pretty much doomed unless you can flip the script on them.
lukasz Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 This is traight from the wiki. 3. Bad hosts Even with our geo-filter applied, a gamer may still come across a bad host or server, often because that server is overloaded. With our router’s Deny & Allow feature, a user can prevent permanently block a direct connection to an undesirable unwanted player or server, meaning they will never have to play on that poor host again
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted September 28, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted September 28, 2015 So if i'm host of the game it won't block other players from joining that I have blocked because of their host, if that makes any sense. Basically i'm trying to avoid annoying ass tryhard kids If you are the host of the game then and you've blocked them they won't be able to join. If someone else is host of the game then you have no control over the other players in the lobby.

Just a shame the allow or deny can't be used to single out some of the not so good dedi's that are about. Maybe in the future!
lukasz Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Yebs the only way to avoid some of those dedis is to exclude them form Geo Range and keep the ping assist on 0
