Paddee1987 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 is it normal not to find hosts across the world when its set to
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted September 13, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted September 13, 2015 Hey Paddee. You should only get hosts within the GeoFilter. Is that what is happening or are some appearing outside of the GeoFilter? If they are then can you follow these instructions
Paddee1987 Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 thats not th problem not connecting to servers at all in any game mode
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted September 13, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted September 13, 2015 thats not th problem not connecting to servers at all in any game mode So you can't find a game? Is that the problem? Can you take a screen shot of the full GeoFilter page please.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 13, 2015 Administrators Posted September 13, 2015 Can you follow this http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=why_can_t_i_see_anything_on_the_geofilterand make sure in settings > miscellaneous auto & bleeding edge cloud is ticked and applied. If it is already just hit apply again to reflush the cloud
Paddee1987 Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 didn't have the cloud thing ticked im still struggling with geo filter turned off
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 14, 2015 Administrators Posted September 14, 2015 If the Geo-filter is off (says 'enable' under your device) then it acts as a normal router and their may be a difference issue. NAT open etc?
Paddee1987 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Now I had two players in my party one was from Northern Ireland the other from the Netherlands both on my allow list could their connections possibly be hold me back from join lobby's?
Paddee1987 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 I was just watching a video of driftor reviewING the netduma and he seems to get different coloured circles, I only seem to get red ones. Is this right?
PharmDawgg Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I was just watching a video of driftor reviewING the netduma and he seems to get different coloured circles, I only seem to get red ones. Is this right? He is on an older version.
Paddee1987 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 So that's okay then should be like that?
PharmDawgg Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 So that's okay then should be like that?Yeah. If you are running 1.03.4. then you are good.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 14, 2015 Administrators Posted September 14, 2015 Now I had two players in my party one was from Northern Ireland the other from the Netherlands both on my allow list could their connections possibly be hold me back from join lobby's? You should put your location to somewhere in between so everyone gets the best host possible
Paddee1987 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 okay thanks. when i first installed the router i set the bandwidth to what i was paying for 150 down 10 up so i have changed the settings in misc and lan as stated in your optimizing speeds. now i have set the bandwidth to what i am actually getting which is 94 down and 6 up, should i recheck these settings?
PharmDawgg Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I would probably enter your real world speeds.
Paddee1987 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 that's what i have done but was wondering whether i should re tick the boxes that i have previously unchecked for the higher bandwidth?
PharmDawgg Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I would definitely keep reactive selected. And all the IPV6 selections unchecked/turned off.
Paddee1987 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 yep okay thanks very much for you advice.
Paddee1987 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 do you think its a good idea to do some port forwarding on my ps4?
Paddee1987 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 ive just noticed ive got upnp enabled should i leave this as is or disable?
PharmDawgg Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Nah. The R1 has an awesome Upnp function and I haven't had to forward any ports. The Upnp takes care of all the portforwarding.
Paddee1987 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 ahh okay cool wicked cheers again. i only seem to have problems during clan wars so maybe im gunna unplug it and put my hub back into router mode for the next one in two weeks and see if its any different
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 14, 2015 Administrators Posted September 14, 2015 From what I've heard Clan wars populations are lower which can make it harder to find a game
Paddee1987 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 it was fine when i went into a lobby on my own but with a 5 man 6 man party no hope
