Rusty, How did you manage to get those speeds on the PSN? I have 50/5 and it never reaches 20/3.

He has some sick internet package for one.

Are you wired or wireless?

I have 50 meg down and i get it on the PSN when Virgin are actually providing me with what I pay for!

What you running on ps3 or ps4?

Probably something wrong with connection cal your ISP with the evidence

As Iain said, this is likely to be an ISP issue. Especially when it manifests at peak times in USA

Needs to be sub 15ms I believe.

If you don't have one then barring a problem (which would be evident in other aspects) then I'm afraid we can't have one! Mine is about 16ms on the test and the 'good' annoys me too! :D

What does this mean?  Why better results with 8.8.4.4 than 8.8.8.8

What kind of modem are you using? I know that I was using one where I was getting 17/60ms and switched it out to get 17/20ms.

Right now I use a Motorola sb6141 modem, TP-Link and Netduma.

Outside of your own network I can't imagine an issue with your line. Cable is either good or bad. It can't be good and then bad. It's either your end our their end

Arris tg862( in bridge mode)-modem/router/telephony --I had them turn off the router component and it only provides modem services and telephone service , Asus rt-AC68U(access point), and netduma.

Cable can get good and bad at different times of day. It suffers from contention issues and overloaded nodes just like any other internet service (unless you are paying for a dedicated line).

Not unusual for a fault to only be evident at the real peak times of internet usage and then manifest itself with increased latency / packet loss etc. All the good things that ruin gaming.
