s1rtoast
I have 150 over 150mbps. On my xbox one i get close to that speed wise on a wired connection. My ps4 which is also wired gets nowhere near that speed, usually at 50mb over 10mb, I want to find out why its so slow compared to my xbox one
Buds
PS network speeds are notoriously slow. Its their network not yours so don't worry. Nothing you can do about it
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 16, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 16, 2015 Even if it was slower (which is probably isn't cause the test are inaccurate), 50/10Mbps is way more than enough to game with as games only use less than 300Kbps. Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 16, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 16, 2015 Ping is what matters Honestly, is your console is getting 50Mbps then that is plenty. Anyway, it probably does have access to your full speeds, just the speed test is not accurate so isn't showing it
lukasz
Like others say my normal speeds are 100 down but on ps4 test i get only 40. To prove that do a test on ps4 see the resoults and then go to ps4 network movie section and go to some full hd movie and then use the test provide to se if you can watch that movie. When i do that on ps4 test i get 40 and on psn movie test i get 75 which shows pure bulshit.
HANDSOME KING
Trust me, when playing COD you'll definitely want a slower connection. Set this as your DNS on the PS4: 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 Your speeds should increase dramatically...
Zennon
i mostly play call of duty, im trying to get my connection as best it can be for the bo3 beta on tuesday Your Ps4 still has all the bandwidth available (if you have the congestion control at 100%, 70% is advisable to stop local congestion if you have others using the network) ,it is just the PS download servers that are not reliable. Ping is the speed of your internet, high speed downloads are a wider band for more of the data to be carried at once.
