I use a Motorola surfboard for modem, I am not sure which modem you have but I am sorry to say there is an issue with one of the Motorola surfboard modem in particular. What I understand is there is a ping bug that is revealed when you connect the R1 with the Motorola Surfboard modem. There are ping spikes that require a reboot of the modem to correct. Now I am not 100% sure this is your problem but when you mentioned your modem it reminded me of this issue. Search Motorola/Surfboard and you should be able to find the previous posts. The issue was never fixed because it required a firmware update with the modem manufacturer which unsure when that will come. I had the Motorola Surfboard 6183 and I exchanged it for my Netgear CM500. Hope this helps or atleast sheds a little light on the situation. Happy Gaming!

Trueseeker Posted August 14, 2015 Author Posted August 14, 2015 I did have the Motorola surfboard sb6183, I looked up the error messages on the modem, so called my ISP cause I have an old Motorola surfboard sb6141 and that also show errors but did seem a little better at random times. I still see a extreme delay in some games. I'm currently looking into the netgear CM500 and ISP TWC confirmed that it's compatible with them. I'm just hoping it's better game play than what I've been getting. I have follow every Wiki for netdumar r1, one I get my new router and could get a one on one, I would appreciate it.
