Ace_Uk1000 Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Just an update, I've not seen any Oklahoma servers show up now, A lot more Dublin, London and Frankfurt, so Well done guys This still doesn't help me sometimes being dead after 2 shots or people being sponge magnets but it's a start Krush 1

I'm in Michigan and know there's no way I'm seeing 19 ms ping to Oklahoma. VNVYM VO8QW VKF39 Great thanks, I'll pass them on! 4 hours ago, sw3ar said: I can live with that party issues, but I hope you can fix that first part, when it stops matchmaking, when Im trying to connect as solo. 1 hour ago, sw3ar said: This is how it looks like after match is finished. If BF6 wants to connect me to server outside of my radius, it just won't connect me. It says next game ready but there is no gamemode name and map name. Again, that's not something we can improve upon unfortunately, it's just the way their matchmaking works. Fortnite works similarly, it will load you into a game and then try to connect you to it, if its blocked then it ends up making the process longer. I will double check with the team though to see if they've noticed this.

If I set PC as PC (currently as console), set filteting for EA GAMES (Battlefield etc) It won't pass initial logging. Maybe you can fix that?

We can fix that yes but it's likely to keep happening as they make changes, that's why I suggest using the console method
terry_b Posted Thursday at 08:49 PM Posted Thursday at 08:49 PM Is there an advantage to setting my PC as a PlayStation in device manager? I usually have it set to PC and under the EA Games group. It's not showing Oklahoma anymore, usually it seems like it's connecting to Ashburn, which is definitely the best server for me - but wow do I get a lot of people in game who should probably be connected elsewhere. So far I've loved the netduma UI and I'm happy with the router. I'm wondering if there's just a ton of matchmaking stuff on the network side of most modern online games now that don't seem to care about optimized connections? I wish we had the R3 back when the original modern warfare and Halo were the games to be playing. Today it seems like there's so much effort to compensate for bad latency that it negatively affects those with good latency.

The advantage is that the EA Games selection is likely to become outdated, by doing that workaround and adding your PC as a console to the Geo-Filter it won't get outdated and allow you to filter properly (barring any cloud changes that are needed). Good to hear about Oklahoma! Couldn't say for certain but it does seem in some games that they prefer speed of getting into a game over connection quality, not all games are like that though. It was actually dealing with lag in Halo that inspired the Geo-Filter/company in the first place!
