Mehmet Posted Wednesday at 11:56 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:56 AM Hi Frazer. I set my R3 router to bridge mode. It worked fine for two days, then I lost connection and turned the modem off and on. Even though bridge mode was enabled, I still couldn't connect to the R3. I reset both the modem and the router to factory settings, then set them to bridge mode again, but even after entering my account name and password, the router still won't connect. Any help would be appreciated. One more thing. Should I disable the DHCP and uPnP settings on the modem when I switch it to bridge mode?

Vous devez renseigner les paramètres PPPoE , option DHCP et/ou VLAN ID pour récupérer votre connexion à internet derrière le R3 ! "R3/paramètre WAN (type de connexion)" Ces renseignements doivent être renseignés sur le site internet de votre FAI, si ce n'est pas le cas vous avez un vrai mode pont et le R3 devrait récupérer votre IP publique directement derrière DHCP automatiquement !

Le français fait partie des 5 langues les plus parlé au monde, j'ai fais le choix de répondre dans ma langue maternelle dans un soucis de compréhension globale. Tout le monde à un traducteur automatique maintenant sur son navigateur. Ce que je veux dire par là, c'est que tu peux également écrire dans ta langue maternelle 😉 Pour reprendre le sujet, tu dois également rentrer les DNS (WAN paramètre avancé !) sinon tes périphériques derrière le R3 n'auront pas accès à internet. I didn't enter DNS but no problems occurred. By the way, the default DNS of my modem was 192.168.1.1. What should I enter as my DNS if I don't want to use Google or Cloud DNS?

But when I previously disabled UPNP and DHCP, I experienced disconnections on R3. So I left it enabled. Yes, the connection is like this: modem - R3 - Xbox. What should I write about DNS?

I have problems when I disable them on the modem.

Yes, I'm using an ONT modem. I cloned R3's MAC address from the modem's DHCP and wrote it down. I disabled DHCP and UPNP on the ONT modem. Everything is now handled by R3.

Disable the MAC cloning, it isn't needed, reboot then monitor

This time, I did it like this and there's no problem. The R3 is working fine now. Netduma Fraser 1

Am I doing anything wrong?

Either it's not properly set in bridge mode if it's allowing you to change those settings or you can just leave them enabled - the R3 doesn't have a bridge mode for example so whatever you thought you did to set that isn't the case so double check the modem is actually set to bridge/modem mode. I would still remove the cloned MAC address change.

I would still remove the cloned MAC address change. I did as you said and hard reset the modem. I put the modem back into bridge mode and didn't touch anything inside it, I left it on as you can see in the pictures. I'm leaving it like this, right?
