gamerukali
I am trying to acheive A+ on bufferbloat. I have 1GB Download and 1GB upload. Is it better if i turn down the slodes to 50% down and up to 500mbps Or is it better to change my speeds to 500MBps up down and leave slodes to 100% ? @Netduma Fraser also is it better to to disable ipv6 on land and wan ? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 15 Administrators Share Posted April 15 It's better to input the accurate speeds you get/receive and then reduce the Congestion Control percentages to eliminate bufferbloat. I'd suggest disabling IPv6 for the moment yes
gamerukali
Can you help i keep getting different bufferbloat results when i change my speed slider . I have 1GB up and 1GB down I have to reduce to upload to 50% to get 0ms for upload For download i reduce to 70% Sometimes its below 5ms with A+ other times with same sliders i get higher ms woth only a A rateing And its weird it feels like my connection becomes a bit unstable when i reduce the sliders down even tho reducing slider on upload for eaxmple to 50% still gives me 400mbps Any guidenace please I want to add aswell when i tried 50%down and 100%up my upload was 20ms so how the orgional got his to 0ms 0ms with 50%down and 100%up didnt work for me I have tried more test and its getting confusing . I have managed to get my download to 0ms by puting sliders on 67% but i cant get my upload to 0 i have even turned slider to 40% and stil unable to get it to 0 If i put upload slider to 49% i can only get it on 0% at rhe cost pf not having download 0ms
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Thursday at 02:43 PM Administrators Share Posted Thursday at 02:43 PM The test you're using is an approximation, if you do the test when your network is quiet vs when it's busy you may well get different results, I wouldn't worry too much about getting perfect results 100% of the time. With Congestion Control active bufferbloat can't occur so as long as you've got generally good results I'd suggest sticking with that and see how it performs for you when gaming etc.
