abhi.anim007 Posted January 24 Share Posted January 24 I have been using this R3 router for the past two months, and as you can see in the video attached, I never get the ping stabilizer window screen. It always says "Couldn't ping server," and this is the case with all the servers I am connected to when I play. What can I do to get this working? Are there any settings in the Edge browser preventing it? i am playing on PC using game pass,my router is hard-wired to my system today I changed my PC type to console in the device manager that also it didn't fix anything any help would be highly appreciated VID20250124182419.mp4 ownal0t 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 24 Administrators Share Posted January 24 Game servers don't respond to traditional pings so we try to be clever in order to get a successful ping but it doesn't always work. It will then try to fall back to the trace method which won't give you the correct ping in most cases but hopefully somewhere near it, however this can also fail. Then because it's unable to determine the true ping it can't know what value it needs to apply with Steady Ping. We're working on a new ping method that may help but I don't have an ETA for this.
