I have been using this R3 router for the past two months, and as you can see in the video attached, I never get the ping stabilizer window screen. It always says "Couldn't ping server," and this is the case with all the servers I am connected to when I play. What can I do to get this working? Are there any settings in the Edge browser preventing it?

i am playing on PC using game pass,my router is hard-wired to my system

today I changed my PC type to console in the device manager that  also it didn't fix anything

any help would be highly appreciated

Game servers don't respond to traditional pings so we try to be clever in order to get a successful ping but it doesn't always work. It will then try to fall back to the trace method which won't give you the correct ping in most cases but hopefully somewhere near it, however this can also fail. Then because it's unable to determine the true ping it can't know what value it needs to apply with Steady Ping.

We're working on a new ping method that may help but I don't have an ETA for this.

It's not really something that can be fixed as it's their choice to prevent pinging but yeah hopefully we can make it more reliable

Game servers don't respond to traditional pings so it's not always possible to ping the servers, it will not effect the quality of your connection to the server though
