MackMurder
WARZONE 3 OLD ROUTER while searching for game starts at 47ms, goes up to 80ms, the 90ms before it finds a game.........In game latency is 93ms NETDUMA 3 ROUTER with geofilter on and set to washington server radius while searching for game starts at 61ms, goes up to 80ms then 95ms....in game latency is 100ms The picture with the circle is my location in the middle. Im in Alberta, canada. The 40ms dot is the washington circle the best warzone server close to me. I tried the custom geofilter and the swt one and made radius bigger. Both make no difference DUMA3 is definately doing something. Increasing my latency by about 7ms and not correctly finding warzone server and staying strictly on that server Ping optimizer on. Ping stabilizer. Im hardwired directly to DUMA 3 with NOTHING else plugged in. I bought this router strictly to drop my warzone ping. Seems incapable of doing that. Anything else to try before i return this and lose close to 100 bucks on shipping and import charges?
Proud R3 Owner
Disable Geo latency and set ping assist to 0. Honestly take off steady ping it'll add ~10ms to try to buffer out any spikes, making your overall latency higher. Make sure you've got strict mode enabled and fast search off. Use simple mode to make a small radius around your intended server (custom is kinda glitchy) and you should be able to connect to that server consistently. Now sometimes it'll take longer to get into a game because you're trying to force that server but that's normal.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 19 Administrators Share Posted July 19 Good advice above, in addition, how have you setup Congestion Control/SmartBOOST? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. Are ALL devices connected to the R3?

Allright 1.I tried to take off steady ping had no luck finding it now after initially setting it up. Any idea where it is? 2. Is strict mode / fast search in warzone settings or duma4 os? Didnt find anything like that in warzone settings for network/interface 3. Like I mentioned in my above post I used custom and I used (set) but meant simple geofilter. Neither worked to locking onto the 47ms server they both went up to over 90 ms when they couldnt find a game. 3 hours ago, Netduma Fraser said: Good advice above, in addition, how have you setup Congestion Control/SmartBOOST? No phones or devices or anything were hooked up to wifi. 2. HITRON model#EN2251 And I didnt set it to anything. Just followed the directions that you guys put on your duma3 box and the netduma3 setup instructions from your youtube channel. Didnt realize there was more instructions somewhere for existing routers? I hardwired my an ethernet cable from the BLUE connection on duma 3 to my 2.5ghz connection on my ISP router. Then my PC is hardwired to the yellow #1 connection on duma 3.

Strict etc is in Geo-Filter settings, click the top right of the page and go to settings. Add your device to SmartBOOST as well as that will help. No that's fine, you're using a pure modem there so it doesn't have any settings and they're not needed. Try this: Quit the game and game client completely (e.g. Steam, Battle.net including from the System Tray) Remove device from the Geo-Filter Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up game Then see if it works better to get the game you want. Ok Did EVERYTHING you said. Even pressed reset button on router and reset everything. Did all startup from scratch. -Took steady ping off. -Added my device (pc (mackaronni) to top priority but it shows offline while searching for game. Sometimes it goes to online but then quickly shuts off back to offline. -doesnt find a game at 47ms so switches to a server thats 193ms away then logs into game. (HOST : LOS ANGELES 70MS to 91ms) -in game latency is 92ms Included screenshots of me in game and the duma4 os live settings -so everything actually got worse. The washington server is well withing my geofilter and has 39 to 42ms ping but it refuses to connect me to it.

Ok in this order -Got everything upgraded to new firmware -cleared cache/temp files -Reset ISP modem. -Reset duma router -turned on ISP modem -turned on duma router -reapplied all duma settings When starting warzone match it was at 47ms while searching, took 4 minutes then switched to 200ms and found a match on a server in San Jose well out of range of my radius Once in game the latency was 89ms It keeps saying my PC (MACKARONNI) is offline, it flickers on and then off again maybe every minute. looked at the duma os in overlay while I was in game and everything still said offline. 🤷♂️

I tried doing it with geolatency off and it doesnt find a match. Just tries to connects at 200ms then when it starts to connect to a server it goes back down to 55ms and keeps searching. Geolatency has always been on.
DARKNESS
@MackMurder Do you live around washington? If you want specific server area you need to disable geo-latency if not it will put you outside the area as it intended to work with some games but from my experience it doesn't so in a way it just a disable toggle feature. What game mode are you playing specifically? As if there fewer players that'll answer your long queue times/games say 200ms as it searhing etc but it really searching with geo and won't be accepted till it finds a server on that area. Player Base Wise that NA-WEST so I would expect some issues that's why certain games have ranked modes and such at certain times such as fortnite do to low player count on selected regions. I'd say use polygon mode and select the servers that have the lowest ping and see if you get better results will monitoring geofilter and check what servers are being blocked and check ping if they're suitable. And no I live in alberta canada but Washington has 39ms ping and is the best servers according to DUMA WARZONE servers but no matter what I do, geolatency on or off, ping stabilizer on or off, geolatency set to custom or simple set to the range of the best WARZONE or COD servers it always puts me 90 to 110ms dogpoopy servers away in Utah or SanJose I hAve fast search off, strict mode is on. MackMurder
20 hours ago, Netduma Fraser said: If you disable filtering on the device so you're just letting the game decide where to put you, do you ever get that lowest ping server at all? I played about 50 matches no lie. Been doing this for 2 days straight. Trying simple and custom geofilters. Constantly banning servers and allowing others. At this point i probably got 10+ on the allow list (and about 100+ banned) from washington to chicago to LA and have them within geofilter but it will only log onto them once in a blue moon. . Got logged onto the washington server 3 times. No matter where i have my geofilter set it repeatedly puts me in servers outside of the geofilter. Like constantly. Seems to be a complete crapshoot. The chicago servers say their 60ms. But when i log onto them in game latency is 81ms The LA servers (which do not show up at all on your geofilterservers list for warzone or call of duty and have better PING than the SANJOSE servers you do show ) fluctuate between 66ms in game (60ms on server map) and 80ms in game when they say 60ms on server map which i find odd that one LA server is 67 ping and the one beside it is 80 ping. The washington servers are the only true servers that say their 40ms when i log onto them in game its 37ms. but like i said only connected to those 3 times out of 50. Chicago maybe 5 times. And LA maybe 4. So with the netduma and geofilter set im at about 10% finding a server thats decent and 5% funding a server thats amazing. My ping without the duma3 is 91ms regularely. Most of the time with the duma it puts me in games outside of my geofilter around 87ms to 93ms Not worth the router if im being honest. The idea is great. The fact it only works randomly seems to be the same chances i could get without it. Ive been at this all day. Sunup to dundown and some last night trying all sorts of diff combos. Rebooting the router and the modem and the pc etc.. etc..
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 21 Administrators Share Posted July 21 Do the following please: Quit the game and game client completely (e.g. Steam, Battle.net including from the System Tray) Remove device from the Geo-Filter In the Device Manager give the PC a PlayStation device type Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter (it should now add with the Console service) Set up the Geo-Filter how you like I've added a step to the above. Always use the simple radius mode for the moment. Make sure Geo-Latency is disabled. Remove all the denied servers you have added, when someone has added so many the likelihood of blocking something that is required to get you a game increases. Once you've done all that actually reboot the PC, then try again please.

Alias 1aB
just a suggestion, but instead of making a big geofence box, keep it smaller to the areas that would connect to the closet server to you (seattle). then make little boxes where the chicago, northern california, and utah servers are located so the game has at least 4 different servers it can look for games on. draw small square boxes so those servers are allowed. I live in the middle of the US and have drawn a box that basically connects to Dallas, Chicago, St Louis, or Atlanta servers but I drew a small box for Utah and Seattle because later at night it wont find games as easily sometimes. When I tried to create a geofence with only the Dallas server, it would take forever to find games and sometimes when it did, it would not connect to the dallas server do that was pointless. and yes I have ping assist set to ZERO. Every internet provider if different and every scenario is going to be different for each person so it may take a bit of trial and error. The DumaOS software is a nice piece of software but there are going to be places where people live that nothing is going to help them reduce their ping. Best of luck to you.
