NetDumaR3 Problem

Recommended Posts

good evening to the team. I am a new netduma r3 owner. Guys, I am really very unhappy with this purchase. it works worse than when I had the original router. One problem is that ipv6 is not working, ms are higher and not stable than they were with originals, I have tried many settings, I have changed firmware from 4.0.21 to 4.0.23 and in 4.0.41 41 is a bit better but also it's already bad. I can't justify a router like that costing 200 euros to work like that the game I play is warzone

Hi @YamahaX,

I'm sorry to hear that you're not happy with the Netduma R3. I'll try to address your specific issues:

We are aware of issues with IPv6, and we're planning to fix them in an upcoming firmware update.

It's possible that the reason they're higher is because of Steady Ping. This feature raises your ping slightly in order to create a buffer which compensates for jitter, meaning you have a smoother gameplay experience. However the fact you say that your ping does not feel stable makes me think this may not be what's causing it.

Would you be interested in having early access to an upcoming firmware in order to see if your issues are improved at all?

thank you for your good intention to help immediately this is important. yes I would like to be sent all patched updates before they go live so I can test them, hopefully they will be fixed as soon as possible

There will be a public firmware released soon, I've been using one of the latest "beta" versions and they have certainly make great improvements.

Hi guys! I want to order R3. This IPv6 problem is solved with the new early access firmware? Thanks for the answer. ✌🏻

I can't say for certain but I haven't seen anyone report it

What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Is IPv6 enabled in LAN & WAN on the R3? If so disable on LAN, does it work then?

Do you get IPv6 directly connected to your modem?

@Netduma FraserI have active dmz on my modem router, I have turned off ipv6 on the lan and still nothing. if I connect the modem router alone, ipv6 works normally, even if I connect another router.
