Zli
The first picture is right now.The other one of how it was a few days ago. As you can see in the first picture, the protocol does not seem to work now. It no longer registers port 3074.it only shows TCP and no more UDP. Can you tell me what's going on,and is this as it should be? thank you

If you're just forwarding for COD, just port forward it on your own. Yes, it may not show active in the router but IT WILL open the port on the COD side as I have never had issues getting open nat on my ps5 in game. Would you say its still a huge security risk when you have Port Scan enabled?

Yes, if a malicious actor gets into one of your device accounts like camera's, security devices, IoT devices etc, then they can open whatever port they want to give themselves access and all you would see if "X device is using X port" and you would have zero idea you have been compromised. It will keep ports from being seen but there are other methods to get access to your network with using UPNP.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 14 Administrators Share Posted March 14 Are you still getting an Open NAT in this way or is your NAT affected? UPnP should open what has been requested Zli
ChrisG82
@TG3NOC1D3 You are totally right! The way Netduma has currently implemented UPNP is really no help but a pure security risk! I don't understand why they haven't implemented the whole thing on a device-by-device basis. So that you can allow certain devices to use UPNP and not others. Then it would be no problem to allow the PS5 to use UPNP. @Netduma Fraser Please pass this on as feedback to the development team. It would be nice if UPNP could be activated for specific devices as soon as possible and not system-wide. Netduma Fraser
Zli
I tried to manually enter ports for MW3 and the device itself does not allow and says that it does not recognize ports such as: 1935 TCP, 443 TCP, 80TCP, 3478:3480(TCP&UDP), 3074 UDP. But Strange when I turn on MW3 for now it shows that my Nat Type is open. I would like it to stay that way, but I don't understand how everything changed on the router in just a couple of days. I sent the pictures at the top.

If you played different games that could be an indication of why it switched to UDP
Zli
Yes, I set DMZ on my R3. For now, Nat Type is open for MW3. I hope it will stay that way. Netduma Fraser
