Achilles
Been using the R3 since launch and overall haven't had many issues. Setup was very quick and the DumaOS seems much more responsive than what I was using with the R2. That being said, I've noticed a couple connection issues and wanted to get some insight. 1) My desktop is hardwired to a LAN port but every time I boot my computer there is no active network connection for maybe 10-15seconds, then it suddenly connects. It boots fast off the NVMe but even so, the R2 was ready and a connection was established prior to finalizing the boot. Is there any reason why this is so slow? 2) Experienced a number of random ad hoc disconnects. Sometimes it's everything, other times it's just the hardwired devices like my unmanaged switch but the Wifi is working fine. A restart of the router typically fixes this but when it's late at night it just becomes a hassle. Enrico Moro and Dean.L

Ace_Uk1000
This is still happening to me as well, Hardwired drops out with no internet connection but the Wi-Fi is ok, All my Hardwired tech are set to have static Ip's as well. The times they occur are random but as the OP says it happens late at night, and normally the router resets its self several times.

If you could connect to the interface with a wifi device and grab the logs that'd be super helpful!

Ace_Uk1000
I've been out most of the day and just got home the connection is now working again but I'd lost all access to the internet last night, but I could connect to the R3 router. In DHCP settings set the lease to 10000, apply and reboot and see whether that reduces the frequency please. 2 hours ago, Ace_Uk1000 said: I've been out most of the day and just got home the connection is now working again but I'd lost all access to the internet last night, but I could connect to the R3 router. Is the log before or after a reboot as if it is after it won't have any useful information. What firmware version are you on currently?
boothay
Hello Fraser, this log is after my reboot... that would be kind of hard to get the log before it happens because I dont truly know when its about to happen. Im on firmware .41. Yea, i thought about making my own topic but ive seen alot of the same threads already so I didnt want to add to the pile already

That's no problem at all!

Ace_Uk1000
HI Fraser, This has happened again to me tonight same problem as Boothay. All hardwired devices loose connection and I have to log on to the router via my phone to see if a reboot will fix it, It does for about 10 - 15 seconds then says no internet and I then have to repeat. I've included the logs R3_2024-03-20T22_03_26.057Z_logs.txt
Gskillz
@Ace_Uk1000 This happen to me also, I ended up setting all my device again, for example on my TV or phone I went into the settings and press "forget password", then I re-entered the password, and it fixed the issue. Try this and let me know if it worked.
Ace_Uk1000
Rebooting the router sorts it out sometimes for a few minutes, other times it'll be fine for a few days, but tonight I think I've rebooted about 7-8 times

Enrico Moro
I have a NetDuma R3 router connected in WAN DHCP mode with a TimHub+ VoIP modem and more or less every night at some point I have the same problem. Disconnect from matches loss of packets and slow downloads. I've tried everything but the only things that seem to make the connection stable again are either restarting the NetDuma router or I found that by changing the type of WAN connection from DHCP to Static the problem disappears and then reappears. I did a check and while the connection is slow from the router from the modem it keeps doing well. Could you investigate this problem better? 🙏 Thanks for your attention. What firmware version are you on currently? How have you set up the TimHub to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are you using a switch at all? Could you provide the log from the R3 when you next get a disconnect please?
Enrico Moro
I'm using the latest firmware. The NetDuma is connected in DMZ mode on the TIM router because my modem doesn't have the Bridge Mode function (or at least I think since I didn't find any settings about it on the TIM router interface). I was actually wrong to write in the first message. I don't actually lose my connection but I only have a very slow connection (like 1MB) until I restart the modem. At the next disconnect I will try to send the log. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 6 Administrators Share Posted July 6 The firmware we posted last night? Okay that would be helpful thank you!
Enrico Moro
I'll try the new firmware and update you. Edit. In the last two nights I've played I've had no problems except when active or off hybrid VPN sometimes I get this problem of random disconnections or slow download.
