fletcherjames1
I recently connected my XR1000 again after the new update. Each day since, every time I go to access the web portal, it comes up with router password reset where I have to enter the serial number. Why does this keep happening? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 1 Administrators Share Posted March 1 Are you unplugging the router from power every day by any chance?
DARKNESS
Perform a factory reset by doing either of the options below: Locate the Reset button on the back of your router. With the router powered on, use the pointed end of a paperclip or similar object to press and hold the Reset button for 30 seconds. Wait for the router to fully reset and power back on. Go to Settings>Administration>Backup Settings>Erase

DARKNESS
@fletcherjames1It could be the fact that there a conflict with the IP with the modem so in this case you'll need to change the IP of the router rather than it having 192.168.1.1 change it to 1.1.1.1 or something preferable... Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 7 Administrators Share Posted March 7 Have you got your web browser setup to clear cache/cookies every time you close a tab/browser? Do you get the same issue in another browser?
fletcherjames1
I haven't got it set up to do that. Yeah, I get the same issue in different browsers.
fletcherjames1
Is the beta out for testing on the XR1000? I would happily test that out and see if that sorts it out, if possible.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 8 Administrators Share Posted March 8 Do you ever see the credentials box appearing? As you should only see the reset password if you click cancel on that credentials box
fletcherjames1
By credentials box, I assume you mean username and password to login? That doesn't pop up for me. I'll post the photos of each step that happens everytime I go to access the portal. Then when I click login, it will allow me to use the username name and password pop up. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 14 Administrators Share Posted March 14 That'll be why you're getting it then but the login box should always appear when you try to access. Could you try holding down the reset button fully for 1 minute, wait 4 minutes then access and after you've completed the setup wizard see if it behaves normally please?
