3 out 4 ports only running at full speed. 1 port running slow on speed test

I'm using Speedtest.net, wired connected to my computer. Problem still persist with one port always slow and the others running fine. Every time I restart my R3 at least one of my ports is not running at full speed. I take the ethernet wire out of one port and put it on another port, then I did another speed test.  For some odd reason 3 out of the 4 ports run at full speed. This is right after a factory reset or turning off/on my R3, the only solution I found is to take out the  ethernet wire from the port, then putting it back after 30sec. After that all ports run at full speed,  just a heads up for the next update t maybe fix this.

Just to clarify, could it be any of the ports or is it always one in particular? If you wait 10 minutes after a reboot before you run any speedtests do they report correctly then?

@Netduma FraserIt's any of the ports,  I'll wait 30 minutes, run a speed test and the port will run slow. It's odd unless I disconnect then reconnect the Ethernet wire, that's my only fix to making it run at full speed again.

That is bizarre, are all the ethernet ports connected properly so you hear that satisfying click on each when you connect them?

@Netduma FraserYes sir

@swippur i think you’re right

@Gskillz Does it always affect the port to which the PC is connected? If so, try to force the speed & duplex on the PC's network interface to 1 Gbps full duplex instead of automatic. Maybe the Driver for the PC network interface is faulty/outdated…

here you can found a little pictured guide if you don’t know how to do that: Force Speed & Duplex on a windows network interface

It is possible that this also comes from the cable, a defective pair generally causes this behavior!

Is it the "Intel Ethernet Controller l225-V / l226-V" that you are using?

Those chip's are know for having issues like you are describing.

Try updating the driver to version 2.1.4.2 or newer, it should help.
