Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 9 Administrators Share Posted February 9 What speeds do you pay for/expect and what do they drop to? How do you have SmartBOOST/Congestion Control set?
Keith
I am having download speed issues as well. I pay for 1100/200 Mbps and I'm only getting 150/??. Set-up: Xfinity XB7-T with R3 (.41) in DMZ. PS5 to R3, wired and in DMZ. Will start speedtest on both R3 and PS5. On R3 the speed rolls to 200Mbps then throttles to 150 and persists thereafter. Same while monitoring network traffic while downloading file on PS5. I disabled Smartboost and same results. I disabled Smartboost and Ping Optimizer/Steady Ping and the PS5 os speedtest showed 830Mbps and 11.5 Better, but that upload is not great. Any suggestions? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 9 Administrators Share Posted February 9 Use speedtest.net on a wired PC and see what you get as the in built test depending on the servers it uses will show lower than normal and console speedtests even say themselves they're estimates
ChrisG82
Maybe you can go and ask Ookla for an Cooperation? Ookla Speedtest as standard Speedtest in Netduma OS would be great. But please with the possibility to choose the Serve I wat to test against with. Like the Speedtest.net Website or App
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 9 Administrators Share Posted February 9 Doesn't really work as a collaboration, they have enterprise services that would allow us to do that, it's just very expensive
04tsx
If it’s the Speedtest on the PlayStation then that’s your problem. Look up how to run google browser on ps5 then from that google look up internet speed test. Do the test that way
AdrianS292
Updated to .41 yesterday and just recently I noticed that websites were loading very slow, so I went to speedtest.net to check my speeds and I was only getting around 2 mbps when I normally get around 930 mbps. I am wired to my computer and keep speed test bypass enabled and also double checked to make sure it was in fact turned on. The uptime of my router was 21 hours. I performed a reboot and immediately after did another speedtest and my speeds returned to my usual 930 mbps. If it happens again, instead of doing a reboot, I will try disabling and re-enabling smartboost to see if that brings back my speeds.
AdrianS292
Also, I forgot to mention that I originally noticed the issue on my phone while browsing the web and performed a speedtest with the ookla speedtest app, where I was also getting around 2 mbps. Then I opened chrome on my computer and noticed that websites also were taking longer to load and when doing a speedtest on my wired computer they were getting the same speeds as my phone. So it didn't seem to be a device specific or connection type issue, but some sort of router bug which is why I performed a reboot
