Switching back to R2 but I can’t get a internet connection

Sense the Netgear Nighthawk Routers discontinued I’m try to switch back to my R2 before I buy a R3 but I can’t Connect to the internet I’ve tried wifi and Ethernet when I try wifi I enter the password says can’t connect to this network and when I try Ethernet and go to the setup screen it says could not detect an internet connection could it my modem which is a Netgear CM700? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Connect via ethernet and skip the setup wizard, then reboot the modem, wait 2 minutes then reboot the R2, wait 4 minutes then see if you get internet

update it no longer has the no internet globe and it say it’s wired but it still says could not detect an internet connection on the setup wizard make it make sense

I’ve tried power cycling the R2 and modem multiple times nothing changes

Reset my NetGear Nighthawk XR1000 and it worked instantly why ? The only thing I could think of is the modem is costing the problem maybe i would try another modem if I had one

Click WAN Setup there and skip through to the interface, then do the reboot as I mentioned but make sure to reboot the R2 from the interface

Umm I had two hours to f with the R2 and factory reset it again for poopy and giggles spammed the skip button on the setup got the interface and randomly have internet biggest WTF I’ve in a long awhile
