Can't get a lobby in Warzone with the geofilter enabled

Hello, play on PC and I'm unable to load into a lobby with the geo-filter enabled. The lobby search just goes on forever even though I have several custom locations set. Originally I had just Texas, Oklahoma and Florida set but I added the other areas after not being able to get a lobby. I then disabled the geo-filter, let my friends host and we were able to get lobbies without issue. I'm on .23 firmware and would rather not reset to factory settings if I could help it as I've already done that twice after updating to this firmware. I haven't changed anything since I last played (there were some issues finding matches then too). The router seems to constantly ping servers in Miami but never connects to them. I have 26 servers allowed (none denied) between Texas, Oklahoma and Florida (MP and Warzone) yet it's very difficult sometimes to get into a lobby or pings a server forever without connecting. Please help. I have Smartboost off if that means anything.

I am by no means an expert here, but I have an Idea that may help you.  Simply add another pollygon around the UK.  The short story is that I believe there to be an authentication server in Ireland that is checking to see if you are trying to geofilter.)

That is the short answer.  If you care to know why I think this read on, but I value your time and don't want to waste it if your in a hurry.

I have been using net duma for quite a few years trying to crack the code to play call of duty without having an inconsistent experience.  There is I believe an authentication server in Ireland for call of duty.  I believe it is a Deamonware server used in the match making algorithm.  With my old xr1000 it would be shown pinging it on the map whilst playing Call of Duty every so often.  It was some kind of "authoritative" server because I tried everything back then to see if I could deny it and couldn't.  Recently when trying to use the R3 to play on the NA servers that I want to play on, I just added a polygon around the UK (Brittan and Ireland and a little bit of the sea between Brittan and France because there seems to be a server there on one of those old WWII forts).  This seemed to satisfy the call of duty authentication algorithm and since I am in the US, I never get put in those servers in the UK.  It has seemed to me for a long time now trying to geofilter Call of Duty that the developers at Call of Duty are actively trying to prohibit players from in anyway messing with the SBMM algorithm.  Has any one noticed the pattern?  You play a game and your ping is what it is.  If you go even or positive, your next  game will be with an additional 30-40 or even 60 ping and if you still go even or positive it will add more up to the third game having potentially 120 ping. I did a bunch of testing in MW2 and this same pattern was in custom matches against bots........ No other actual players, just bots.  This broken netcode is pervasive throughout the whole "multiplayer" experience.  I was never a zombies player, but I tried it because multiplayer is so manipulated now that it's really not any fun and was super surprised at how good the internet connection could be to the servers that were close to me.

Why do I say all this?  Because I think that as good as the R3 is, and I think its a really good router, if you are using it to try to have a consistent multiplayer experience playing Call of Duty (as I am guessing a lot of people here are) GOOD LUCK!!!  Yes, the R3 has some bugs, but go play a game like fortnite (if you play call of duty exclusively, like a lot of call of duty players) and you will see that the things that don't work for call of duty work for other games.  for many "bugs" in the software, I think it is that netduma is advertising that they can manage your ping in call of duty and they can't.  I think if they advertised that they had this great router (which it is!!!!) and it did all of the things they have advertised that it does, EXCEPT THAT IT WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR CALL OF DUTY NET CODE PROBLEMS!!!!!! then this forum would be completely quiet.  Fraser would have a much easier life.

• Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0)
• Enable Strict Mode
• Disable Fast Search

Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then.

I have all of these settings already as my screenshot shows and restarted several times. This isn’t something that has just happened last night. It often just endlessly pings a server (that I’ve allowed) but doesn’t join.

Mamba, maybe try doing what Fraser said, then additionally delete your device (console/PC) from the geofilter.  Then resync the cloud from the three dot menu inside of geofilter tab.  Then restart that device completely.  Then re-add and just try putting an additional pollygon around the UK and let me know if it allows you to find Call of Duyt matches.

Good advice above, try this process which includes the above.

1. Quit the application/game/client completely - including from the System Tray
2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
3. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
4. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter
5. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
6. Wait 2 minutes
7. Boot up application/game/client

Then see if it works better.

I did delete and re-add the PC from the geo filter but I will try these suggestions again the next time that I play. Thanks.

Sometimes that just happens on cod and I don’t think it’s router related. A few days ago we went in a loop like that. It would find act like it was going to start a game on a specific server then restart, we all left each other and tried to find a game individually, it ended up being someone in our group that don’t even have a netduma router just needed to restart her game then it let us find games fine.

I’m From this morning. Still constantly pinging the server but not joining. I think we eventually got into a lobby in Texas (never pinged, just threw us in there). For the record, I live in NYC. I should be getting into these lobbies someone quickly. Is this expected behavior or is something not right? My settings are all correct. We were able to get games but it took too long to get lobbies even though I live in a hot area. Also, I connected to lobbies outside my selected areas 2 or 3 times.

What firmware are you on currently? We're aware sometimes it's failing to ping, we'll be improving on that in an update

Hey @Netduma Fraser  I hope you're doing well. I know it is an old post, but i am facing similar issues. so i have done what you've suggested in this post, but it wont work. My issue is that i am unable to find BR lobbies but i can get into resurgence lobbies In seconds with same settings. What could be the reason behind it? Any idea?

Disable filtering but keep it active so you can see the map, do you see anything allowed that isn't the game server when you get a BR game?

As you can see, i have tried with both filter enable and disable, with filter disable i saw one server outside my geo fence, did block it, but nothing happens.

And this is when i restarted the game. after waiting for like 5 mints to let servers disconnect properly.

As above you don't want to deny it, you want to allow it, that was the purpose of disabling the Geo-Filter to see if anything was trying/able to connect that wasn't when the Geo-Filter was enabled. Let us know if it works better after allowing it.

I did deny Oklahoma and dublin servers, then it wouldn't even let me in the game. So i allowed the dublin server, i then entered the game. Didn't realize about the Oklahoma server being linked to ps5 authentication servers. Will allow it and test it again.
