@ShadowSo that what it detecting just click on advanced and set your speeds manually and then check it however your not necessarily going to get exactly 1G up and 1G down should be more like 600-800 average have you also tested if you get the same speeds with another router before?

When I did the internal speed test I got 938/936 on my gig line, I'm using the 4.0.20 as well.

16mbps-Upload 744mbps-Download Just did the speed test.

Try plugging directly into your modem or isp provided device and test from there to verify this isn't an ISP issue to rule that out.

@ShadowI mean if your not getting what your paying for it definitely your provider and your going to have to have someone check your equipment and if it faulty on your end then your going to have to pay for the inconvenience but if it isn't on your end then they do it for free as it they're fault.

To add are you a PPOE or DHCP user?

How is the ONT set? You should put it in modem/bridge mode or have the R3 in its DMZ so all traffic passes through to the R3 unimpeded. Are ALL devices connected to the R3? By default the router should run full speeds so it's likely what I've mentioned that needs to be done

@ShadowThe key to distinguishing between PPPoE and DHCP is how to assign IP addresses. In PPPoE, you need to log in with the correct account and password first, while DHCP just needs to wait to be assigned an IP address automatically

If you access the ONT interface it should have a mode for modem mode or bridge mode, if not it should have a DMZ option, in which case copy the WAN IP from the R3 WAN Settings page and paste that in that. Haha thanks, somehow I do! 😄

Upload speeds seem to be very slow still. I've tried 4 different speed tests and they are all within margin of error showing aprox 700-down and anywhere from 14mbps-38mbps-Up. I'm going to restart the ONT and R3 and probably flush my DNS and try again. Again you guys are rockstars I so appreciate all this help! Best tech support/Customer service in the game by far!

So overall after figuring everything out its an ISP issue and is being addressed. Overall the R3 is working better than expected, some improvements could be made but overall it has exceeded my expectations. Side note/Suggestion: Please add landscape support for phones and tablets on the app for monitoring.

Thanks a million as usual Fraser you legend!
