Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 27 Administrators Share Posted April 27 I didn't provide an exact time frame for a fix because it's always subject to change, there are/were some bigger issues that needed fixing as a priority that more people were experiencing. Once these fixes are confirmed then they'll have more time to fix things like this. You still have warranty and I could replace the router but it wouldn't fix the issue. Initiating a conversation within the return window doesn't extend that return window, you'd have to return it within that window as per the terms. I appreciate it's an annoying issue for you but I can't speed up development and I don't make the terms
Blinker73
Before I send that registered letter, maybe you want to look at the Canadian federal law https://ised-isde.canada.ca/site/office-consumer-affairs/en/modern-marketplace/warranties#s5 and the part where it says : Despite what some retailers claim about "as is" sales, implied warranties apply to the sale of all consumer goods. Provincial and territorial sales laws cover implied warranties. Generally, they state that products must be fit for the purposes for which they are sold and the provincial law https://educaloi.qc.ca/en/capsules/the-legal-warranty-automatic-protection-for-consumers/ and the part where it says : The legal warranty is a minimum legal protection for consumers. It applies automatically when you buy something. The legal warranty says that, if a merchant sells you something that isn’t of good quality, durable, safe and in line with any expectations created by the merchant, you can, among other things, get a refund or have the product replaced. The legal warranty also protects consumers against hidden defects. A legal warranty covers products bought or leased (rented) in Quebec, even if they come from somewhere else. It is provided to consumers free of charge.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 29 Administrators Share Posted April 29 I'm not a lawyer and I'm not familiar with how UK vs Canadian law would work. You can email [email protected] and I can pass it up the food chain. Make sure to include a link to this topic so we know what it refers to.
