Setting up my R2 - encountering many problems

I’ve been looking through these forums for the last 4 hours to try and troubleshoot the problems I’m having setting my NetDuma R2 back up at my new address. 
 

I have been running into multiple problems during set up. For example I cannot establish/keep an internet connection through wifi or Ethernet. 
 

I know the firmware is out of date but I’m unable to access anywhere to get the new firmware due to not connecting to the internet. I was able to download the file for the update in the 30 seconds I was able to hold a wired connection but anytime I would start the update I would get a “missing JSON response”  followed by losing connection to the interface. 
 

Our wifi network pops up when we are looking for it but does not allow me to connect and the one time I was able to connect it said I had no internet. I’m doing this on a desktop with an incognito google tab. 
 

im unable to edit any settings without losing my connection and unable to download the latest firmware.

@Brycedonovan24You can download the file through your phone if you have no internet access and install it like that instead it works though that if you have internet on the phone alternatively you can also just connect straight to modem and get the file like that since you'll have internet access doing so

Sounds like a potential power issue, do you have it connected to a power extender or direct to an outlet? If an extender please try direct to an outlet. Otherwise do you have another power adapter you could try with?
