Answer no you could in theory block some adds using a dns that paid but it not going to block all ads....though it does block spam ads in sites but from personal experience i don't like dns since for me they're useless and can affect sites not loading but they do work for blocking ads in games so there are some pros also I am referring to mobile game ad spams that are extremely tedious if your a mobile gamer not that I am but I have tested it before in the past.

If you are technically minded then you could buy something like a raspberry pi and install PiHole. Pihole blocks all adverts on your network. 

It's very easy to do if you are technically minded.

It the same thing it doesn’t block all ads your running a dns for the pie it not much different
