fakkel Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 I test the lasted update and I no longer have any disconnects, but for the first time in two years, my 2.4ghz wifi connection... Poor quality on Netflix, impossible to have a Teams conversation without buffering. Robot vacuum who can't find the room map loadout in de cloud, etc. I don't know what I can do. For some reason, 5ghz seems to work better, but a lot of devices still do not support it...

DARKNESS Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Well as fuzy said though you might need to test ur frequencies as well that can be an issue depending on your area some devices particularly older devices don't work well with certain frequencies but for the most part the router selects the most optimal etc
fakkel Posted April 27, 2023 Author Posted April 27, 2023 I already separate them which is why I can also tell the devices have very bad speeds on the 2.4ghz but work fine on the 5ghz. I use the same settings for the last 1, or 5 years. I never had any wifi issues, they started since the second last update.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 27, 2023 Administrators Posted April 27, 2023 If you haven't done a factory reset as above make sure you do so as a lot has changed, otherwise, try these suggestions: Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _
