Oren Tasuna
Hi, I installed new FW 3.3.280, and from the changelog and short video it seems deep packet inspection is becoming a major actor in DumaOS. Can you please provide some more details (or links) on what it is, and what I can do with it or expect from it? Thanks
DARKNESS
I believe it just integrated AI from what the video stated so it means that if it recognizes a game port that you use often it opens it up though might be incorrect on that just a theory and it wouldn't be perfect since it AI it learns over time. You could say it helps for those who are not too tech savy into looking for game ports and putting them manually etc -.-
Fuzy
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_packet_inspection Clearly, the DPI makes it possible to inspect the packets, so they will be better prioritized according to their application in order to improve the QOS. If a game packet is spotted, it will take priority depending on the % application flower setting you have configured...
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 21, 2023 Administrators Share Posted March 21, 2023 Exactly as Fuzy said. It will help with QoS and Network Monitor for example, anything that relies on DPI. It will detect the patterns in the traffic to determine what you're doing and then depending on your QoS settings it knows what to do with it or it will simply appear in Network Monitor etc. Oren Tasuna
