Codester
My fiance got a nice job in Austin, Tx and we are looking at renting a house there. It currently has the option of Google Fiber and there 1Gbps download and upload speeds. I know I would have to use their router since it connects straight to the fiber jack. I know the Netduma cannot handle 1Gbps WAN speeds and most routers couldn't anyways. Would I only be able to use the geo filter feature on the router if I choose to use this service? ByMgRs
I am unsure by what you mean? You would have to use the provided router and then use DMZ to connect to the R1. I believe you would get something about 60Mbps download and 30 mbps upload but I am sure with some settings tweaked you could increase it. And the geo filter would work on all devices connected to the R1 but I don't know what you mean by which service
Buds
With 1GBps up and down you wouldnt need congestion control lol All features would work on the Netduma for the devices that were connceted via the Netduma. It would just depend on how you wanted to split the connected devices between the two routers.

Our max throughput at the moment is 150mb so you may only want to connect your consoles / gaming devices to your R1 and then you can download the entire earth through your other router. abc123
yes, geo-filter is the only thing that would really benefit you. But lets not lie...it's also the only thing you'd need..... You actually will be getting super low pings anyways all over...except in other countries with AW still connects to
Codester
That's true. I guess I'll just add the Netduma to the router they give me and only use it for the Xbox One/360. I hope their router isn't crippled like most ISP router/modem combos.
