Hi,

not sure if this has already been covered or not but whenever I am in game on PS5 on the Geo filter it doesn't show the servers on the map or blocked ones etc like I have seen on YouTube.

is there something I am doing wrong?

I am playing call of duty mw2.

TIA.

Paul

Try this:

  1. Quit the application/game/client completely
  2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
  3. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
  4. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option
  5. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
  6. Wait 2 minutes
  7. Boot up application/game/client

Then see if it works.

You won't always see loads of blocked/allowed servers but you should at least see the allowed server within your radius that you're connected to.

You should see the map yes and there is a legend on the right of the screen that can be toggled on/off. Not all icons will appear at the same time, it depends what is happening.

I would recommend keeping strict mode enabled.

Hi

I did do this and can see some information but not all.

also I am getting insane pings and hit delay which is odd I am in Brighton so have really good servers but it’s pinging at 65, I also have virgin 1gb internet as well super fast so it’s not that Nat type is moderate as well any ideas ? Please losing easy gun fights and it’s annoying.

many thanks.

Can you provide a screenshot of your Geo-Filter page showing what you see when you're in a game?

Have you put your V Hub in modem mode or put the R2 in the V Hub DMZ? Are ALL devices connected to the R2 or do you have some still connected to the V Hub?

Can you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please?

Hi,

V Hub is in modem mode R2 is the router, nothing is connected to the Hub only one Ethernet cable to the router which is connected to my PS5. Didn’t know about the DMZ all devices in the house are connected to the R2. Will send you a screen shot have I set it up wrong then 😞

Where do all your other devices connect to? If it's only a console that connects to the R2, DumaOS has no control over other traffic on the network. That would explain why your ping is high. If you connect ALL your devices through the R2, QoS will then be able to prioritise your games over anything else.

Thanks for confirming. So when you're playing a game, can you see one server/peer icon on the map? That's about what we'd expect to see when you're playing a game.

If so, what does Geo-filter say your ping is to that server, and what doing it say in-game? How similar are the two values?

With QoS, what have you got in your Traffic Prioritization section? Have you left the default 'DumaOS classified games" rule enabled?

Does it feel better if you disable that rule, then add your own one with the PS5 as the device and 'Games Console' selected as the device?

all my devices go to my R2 there all wireless though. Should I delete that default rule?

Disable the top two rules for now please, then test with the new rule you've added enabled.

Can you also please answer my questions on Geo-filter setup:

Hi Liam,

I have disabled the rule and left mine yes I can see one server but it’s know where near me is there no servers in london Brighton ? Seems strange to me. I can see any yellow triangles or anything 😕 or peer to peer ping hosts etc.

Disable Auto Ping in the Geo-Filter menu then click on that server, what does the ping say it is? It will be lower than the in game reading, how much lower will determine if it's an issue on your side or whether the server is under load for example.
