Dear supporr team,

My R2 router stopped and does not start anymore. When I disconnect the power and reconnect it, nothing happens...

I am currently working at home 🙁

Could you please help me?

Regards,

Ab.

Thanks for reaching out, are you able to access the DumaOS interface by going to 192.168.77.1 in your web browser?

What lights are currently illuminated on the R2? Are the 2.4 and 5GHz lights illuminated/flashing?

Hello Liam,

Thank your for answering.

There is no more light on.

I tried to disconnect and reconnect power, try anoter electric outlet but nothing happens.

Do you have another power adapter with similar voltage that you are able to try with the router?

Hello Fraser,

I tried with another adapter, the plugging is not perfect but the power light is turning red.

Where can I find the exact adapter fitting the router?

Okay so it was a faulty power adapter, we don't sell the adapter directly but it should have all the information on the plug itself.

I thought that will solve my issue, but now, with another power adaptor, the router is turning on, but wifi lights are off (2,4 and 5ghz) and it is impossible to access the router page : 192.168.77.1 using ethernet connection.

Hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then wait 2 minutes and then try accessing the interface

I reset the router, interface was accessible, I configured the setup page, wifi was ok and after 5 minutes, both wifi lights turned off, my computer connected using ethernet lost the connection.

Ip of my computer is now : 169.254.68.73 like the router is out.

Impossible to access the interface page anymore.

Do it again, get through the setup wizard as fast as possible and try to upgrade the firmware as soon as you get a chance to

Reset done, setup wizard done, i did the firmware update to the version 3.2.453 (the router was already on this firmware version but I did the upgrade).

After that, for 5 minutes it was ok, I configured my wifi, I tried to connect my smartphone to the wifi, but at this time, the router did the same thing : 2 wifi lights off, my computer (ethernet) lost the connection to the interface...

Do you have any idea?

Sign up for Early Access: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/ once approved download the firmware from there, then do the same process and upgrade to this version, then just do another factory reset straight away from the interface, wait 2 minutes, access, complete the wizard and see if it stays up

I've just approved you so you can now access it here: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/

Same thing, it was ok until I change the wifi configuration, I don't know if it is related.

Now, I'm trying to reset to test again but even if I am trying to reset, the interface is not accessible anymore.

What are you changing on WiFi exactly? If you're changing the WiFi name, how long is the new name, are you using any symbols?

Yes, wifi name : O-AB

Now, in order to test without changing wifi configuration, I am trying to reset the router to access again the interface but I can't access anymore to it. Is there any other solution?

Could you take out the hyphen and see if it happens again please?

Yes, I would love to be able to do it, but now I can't access the interface anymore.

I tried a lot of reset button for 30 seconds, I tried also to disconnect from the power for 5 minutes... But still the same, I can't access the interface.

Unplug it for 10 minutes, that lets residual power drain then plug in, wait 2 minutes then perform a reset and see if you can access

I tried but same result.

I give up for today.

Please tell me if there is another solution.

I don't understand why a power adaptor issue is now causing this behavior to the router...

Leave it unplugged over night and try it again in the morning that has helped people with similar issues in the past. Is it connected direct to a wall outlet or via an extender? If an extender use the wall outlet instead.

Hello,

I bought a new power adapter, I connected the power adapter direct to wall and it seems to work for now.

Thank you for your help, your patience and avaibility.
