VibzX Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 i just got my netduma r2 router this morning and was wondering how to set it up. i followed the manual that came with it but the network doesn’t seem to pop up on my laptop.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 6, 2022 Administrators Posted December 6, 2022 Hello, welcome to the forum! Connect your PC via ethernet to the R2 then enter 192.168.77.1 into your web browser, does that allow you access to the Setup Wizard?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 6, 2022 Administrators Posted December 6, 2022 While connected to the router via a Windows PC, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please.
Netduma Liam Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Looking at your original screenshot, you appear to have the cable for the R2 connected to the modem's Internet port. Does the modem have a LAN port you can connect that cable to instead? What's the make and model of the modem exactly?
Krush Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 You must also put an RJ45 cable from R2 (yellow port) to your PC!

Krush Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Is your Lan on the PC activated? Type control panel on the W11 search then network center and sharing / modify the card settings

Krush Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 1-Try another ethernet cable 2-Manually change your ipv4 address (ethernet PC card) 192.168.77.100 255.255.255.0 192.168.77.1 Restart the pc and the R2 and try to reach the web page 192.168.77.1 3-If not, try a manual factory reset behind the R2! Netduma Liam Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Good suggestion, above, particularly trying a new ethernet cable!
