Doughboy Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 I updated my R2 router and when it came back up it shows duma os not running! Did the update brick my router? It doesn’t work even when I’ve reset it for 30 seconds I’ve unplugged it and everything
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 3, 2022 Administrators Posted October 3, 2022 Unplug it from power for 10 minutes, plug in, wait 2 minutes then attempt access, is it working then?
Doughboy Posted October 3, 2022 Author Posted October 3, 2022 It’s working but I had to turn the wan stuff off in the beginning during start up. Also since I updated the router the ping heat map don’t work
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 3, 2022 Administrators Posted October 3, 2022 Do you mean you had to disable IPv6? What do you mean by Ping Heatmap isn't working - the page isn't loading or when you select a game it isn't pinging the servers? If the latter resync the Heatmap cloud then try again please.

Doughboy Posted October 4, 2022 Author Posted October 4, 2022 (edited) Nope Page isn’t loading it says this rapp is not loaded yet try again in a minute can I go back to the original UI that I got with the R2 router because whenever I update the r2 or the xr1000 I have problems getting rapps to come up. Edited October 4, 2022 by Doughboy Add more info.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 4, 2022 Administrators Posted October 4, 2022 Go to the System Information page and then in the Rapp panel menu ≡ change the retries to 5, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes before accessing and see if it works then please.
Doughboy Posted October 4, 2022 Author Posted October 4, 2022 Nope my router says Duma os will be back shortly
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 4, 2022 Administrators Posted October 4, 2022 Could you initiate a factory reset from the interface, wait 3 minutes, then access please and see if its all loading?
Doughboy Posted October 4, 2022 Author Posted October 4, 2022 No because I can’t get to the interface. It’s a white screen that say that.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 4, 2022 Administrators Posted October 4, 2022 Do a reboot again so unplug power, wait 10 seconds, plug in, wait 2 minutes, then access and if you have access then do the factory reset
Doughboy Posted October 5, 2022 Author Posted October 5, 2022 I’ve done all that and still it shows Duma Os not running.
Doughboy Posted October 5, 2022 Author Posted October 5, 2022 I think the last update bricked my router tbh.
Netduma Liam Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 16 hours ago, Doughboy said: I’ve done all that and still it shows Duma Os not running. Since the reset, can you access the DumaOS interface if you use an incognito/private window in your browser?
Doughboy Posted October 16, 2022 Author Posted October 16, 2022 Yes I can. Can I just update it back to the original UI or the update that came with the router? I don’t see much difference between that and when I updated it besides it not functioning correctly since taking the new update?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 16, 2022 Administrators Posted October 16, 2022 Okay so it's possibly just a browser issue, go ahead and update, factory reset after then accessing using an incognito window again and see if it is working
Doughboy Posted October 18, 2022 Author Posted October 18, 2022 I did all that and it still shows Duma os not running
Doughboy Posted October 18, 2022 Author Posted October 18, 2022 Is there a way I can factory reset my xr 1000 or my R2 to default status? No updates or anything?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 18, 2022 Administrators Posted October 18, 2022 You can factory reset them but it would keep them on the same firmware, you would have to manually downgrade with the oldest firmware file of the two. I don't think it would be necessary to go all the way back. Sign up for early access here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/ and then you can try the R2 firmware there, followed by a factory reset to see if it is more stable for you.
Doughboy Posted October 20, 2022 Author Posted October 20, 2022 Yeah because before I updated it it ran completely fine. Now it’s acting up.

Doughboy Posted October 24, 2022 Author Posted October 24, 2022 I reset it and now it says no such file or directory
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 24, 2022 Administrators Posted October 24, 2022 Was this after an upgrade that you reset and got that error? Can you provide a screenshot?
Doughboy Posted October 24, 2022 Author Posted October 24, 2022 Yes it was. It’s a blank white screen and that’s what it says in the top left corner.
