Are they throwing any kinds of errors or complaints when this happens? Are you able to connect, but with no internet access? Or simply not connect at all? If you can connect them, can they get to the DumaOS interface, despite not having an internet connection?
Kwee
they show up on DumaOS but they don't connect to the internet when I select 2.5ghz channel on the device I'm trying to connect. 5ghz channel has no issue connecting any device. It's telling me "unable to join the network" when I select it on the ipad and laptop
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 27, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 27, 2022 If they are older devices they may be having trouble with the WiFi security 2.4GHz is using, change that in settings and see if they can connect then
Kwee
Both 2.5 and 5GHz networks have the same security options. WPA2-Personal AES what should I change 2.5GHz too?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 3, 2022 Administrators Share Posted July 3, 2022 Okay just to rule it out select WPA [TKIP] +WPA2 [AES] for 2.4GHz and see if it works
Kwee
Still having the same issue even when I change that option. All my devices only connect to the 5GHz channel. My phone is the only one that will connect to 2.5GHz
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 19, 2022 Administrators Share Posted July 19, 2022 If you use Smart Connect for WiFi instead do they connect to 2.4GHz?
