Ping optimiser question

It did change the Congestion Control percentages for both Download/Upload for me so it may be that it detected the best ping was with Upload unchanged. Go to http://192.168.77.1/desktop/webview.html?cache=0#com.netdumasoftware.dashboard and run the test again and see if it gives different results

Its not working at all, i lowered upload to 60 to see if it would move back to 100% when i use ping optimiser and it stayed the same.

I'm checking with the team to see whether it is expected behavior or not, just to double check, Auto Setup on the desktop view, is that not lowering upload for you either @Aspect of Wrath?

Autosetup on my pc & laptop works but when i use ping optimiser on any mobile devices only the download autos, the upload stays the same.

I believe currently, that's the expected behaviour. Just to double check though, are you running Ping Optimiser by going to Network Priority -> Congestion Control -> Ping Optimiser, then running a Full Test? If not, could you please do so?

Did exactly as you said, only download is setup not upload, if that is how it is supposed to be can we have upload auto setup in the future as well?

Just found out on the web browser that on the new firmware, not only does ping optimser not work with upload, it also does not auto setup upload properly. With my network my upload spikes alot and previous firmwares auto setup brought down upload to around 63% to stabilize it. This current firmware sets it to 99% which confused me since previous firmware set it way lower. The previous firmware was perfect when i played online games, this new firmware the games were terrible and very laggy and 99% upload is definitely not the correct % for congestion control.

The results of the test are impacted by time of day and other variables so I'd recommend running it just before you start gaming, see if it sets it any lower and whether you then have a better experience.

Ran auto before i started gaming and got a bunch of devices to watch random netflix movies. New firmware still set the upload to 99% and it is still laggy, might just go back to previous firmware for now since that worked alot better for me.

The test will disconnect devices for the internet so no need to do that, we are still improving the feature so we will take a look at it. If that works better for you then that's absolutely fine, I think you may be a part of Early Access already but if not do sign up so you can get to test a new firmware earlier when available and see how it compares
