I used the ping optimiser on setup to find best congestion settings, i noticed that only download was being optimized and not upload, is this normal or is it not working properly? YT_LowPingKing Posted June 15, 2022 Share Posted June 15, 2022 Ran a few tests of my own & can confirm the upload doesn't want to adjust using mobile view. I believe currently, that's the expected behaviour. Just to double check though, are you running Ping Optimiser by going to Network Priority -> Congestion Control -> Ping Optimiser, then running a Full Test? If not, could you please do so? Did exactly as you said, only download is setup not upload, if that is how it is supposed to be can we have upload auto setup in the future as well? Aspect of Wrath Posted June 17, 2022 Author Share Posted June 17, 2022 Just found out on the web browser that on the new firmware, not only does ping optimser not work with upload, it also does not auto setup upload properly. With my network my upload spikes alot and previous firmwares auto setup brought down upload to around 63% to stabilize it. This current firmware sets it to 99% which confused me since previous firmware set it way lower. The previous firmware was perfect when i played online games, this new firmware the games were terrible and very laggy and 99% upload is definitely not the correct % for congestion control. The test will disconnect devices for the internet so no need to do that, we are still improving the feature so we will take a look at it.
